Kai Havertz

But I would sell him now because we have a much better player available in Felix. Technically Havertz is good. Very good. But Felix is on another level completely technically and creatively.

This is imo a real question and a real debate. What do you want from your 10 a Kai or a Felix?

It's quite simple with Havertz. He's just not suited to the PL.

Look at him in europe, he actually plays quite well. Back into the PL and he's garbage. He needs a slower paced game.

It's quite simple with Havertz. He's just complete ASS.

He's not that good in Europe either, every player has a good games now and again, Means nothing. I saw Scott Mctominay be MOTM in a Europa league final 2 years ago, best player on the pitch. Big deal hes still nowhere good enough for Man Utd.

He has good games in the PL sometimes too, Malang Sarr had some good games for us too.

Not a 9, not a 10, not a winger, not an 8. Definition of a luxury player and been living off a CL goal for the past 2 seasons. Relatively weak finishing, no creativity and pretty average work rate. Sell him to Bayern for a decent fee and lets move on from the debacle. I can kind of understand the want to keep Felix from some fans because he occasionally pulls off something flashy (even though it leads to nothing) but with Kai he isn't even entertaining to watch.

You hear rumblings around so many Chelsea players leaving, from Mount, to Gallagher, to Pulisic, to Lukaku and many more. Yet nothing on Havertz.

Makes me think he is on the not to be sold list unfortunately

Real Madrid mummers.

Early days.

This will probably get ridiculed but i think Havertz is one of the players that should be given the benefit of the doubt, shouldn’t be judged based on this season. To me he’s def not in the “unsalvageable” category at least. Been frustrating as hell but the whole team has been completely at sea this year and it has fed on itself as the season has gone on and confidence has just disintegrated. He still has age on his side, and potential. He might be a lot better than we’ve come to think and selling him could be a risk. It’s amazing how transformative a decent structure, proper coaching and a bit of confidence can be. My bigger concern is that those don’t materialise.

Completely agree Dean. But IF there was any chance to sell him and then negotiate a deal for Felix I would 100% go for that as Felix is the better player.

He's been here for 3 seasons now, think it's either a new deal or sell. He's not a 9, maybe Pochettino will find a system that allows him to play behind the striker, he's done that in the past at Spurs with success. If rumour is true and Madrid puts in a good bid, would be silly not to let him leave and find another option.

Neither should be here based on the past few years of their careers.

I think him winning the CL for us may still be slightly clouding my judgement regarding Kai but I am happy to keep him and I believe part of the reason Pochettino seems to be too is that at the very least he works hard with his pressing.

There's definitely still time for him to turn it around but it has to be next season.

If Pochettino wants to keep him, it will be his undoing. I cannot stand watching another season of his weak shots, head down and just lack of overall enthusiasm in almost every game he plays. He was hyped up to be the next superstar of the game and all he is doing is living off a few cup final goals. He's got to deliver consistently and I don't think he ever will for us, he just doesn't want to put the hard work in. There is just no excuse for his lack of effort.

He's not even a luxury player. I give that tag to creative players like Ozil who can at least provide assists. Even Ziyech to a lesser extent would put up better numbers than Kai if given the same amount of game time.

He's total rubbish.

Kai as a CAM will work well if we actually have a good striker. He's talented enough to provide goals and assists but he needs help. A high end striker will also give him much more space. With the team we had this past year, Ronaldinho would have struggled in the same position.

There's no point selling him this year when his production was so low. If he's not in the future plans, it's still better to keep him this year and hope he can build some financial value.

I agree. Even though it's likely Pochettino is probably the only manager Kai's talents would benefit from he's been given enough time. Like Pulisic, a finished article at Chelsea, I'm tired of the recovery and fixing players with different managers, we all know we aren't going to get much better with these players. The sooner we move them on the better.

Yep. You'll find posts of mine this time last season saying I wouldn't want to lose him because there is talent in him and I am afraid another top club will take advantage of it, but there are clear characteristic traits he is lacking. He can perform much better every week, but he doesn't want to. He never feels any urgency to make something happen, be it the first minute or the 90th. We will never find the best position for him because no such position exists for a footballer with so little drive.

We can be 2-0 down, desperate for a goal, and Havertz will still try and score a goal like he has already scored a hattrick for a team that are 5-0 up. It's not even a case of being clinical with Havertz, he just doesn't have the sense of urgency to his game that we need from him.

There are a few like that in our squad, Ziyech being another and even James to certain extent, but nothing like Havertz.

If he does stay and Pochettino sorts him out, then I may buy into the talk about Pochettino being a quality coach who can get the best out of players.

Benzema officially leaving Real Madrid.

Hopefully they get desperate.

Romelu already speaks about 4 languages. He'll master Spanish in no time.
