Kai Havertz

i didn't mean he is world class, he could be world class (at his age a similar player with his talent would be very expensive, so if we sell him to Madrid for a certain amount, we eventually have to get a similar, or more likely, a worse player for more money). Unless we suddenly are able to do what Brighton does and get Mathias Jr the 5th from the 3rd Bolivian division for 50 pesos who turns out to be amazing.

Vini Jr was sh*t at Madrid for some time too

I'm sure Madrid only go for mediocre players and that's why they ended up with Havertz as a target after scouting him mutltiple times

he would absolutely kill it at Madrid

The way I see it, what are the chances of Kai coming good for us next season? Let's be honest, it's low. And if we try to sell him next season, his transfer value will be lower.

Right now there is still some ambiguity if Kai is a world-class player or not if played in the right position and in the right team. If you ask me, I don't think he is at all, but if clubs like Madrid are willing to pay a lot for him, I say we take it instantly. Because the chances of him pulling a worldie next season is low.

His value will drop next season as he has 1 year less on contract, but the probability is it will also drop further if/when he has another poor season with us. If we want to get any money out if him then now is tge time to sell.

Agreed. I've read that Real Madrid is indeed serious about Havertz and are prepared to pay £80 million for him.

If that happens it will be the sale of the summer as far as i'm concerned. I see some major drawbacks to losing Mount and Kovacic for example but a lot of money for Havertz to reinvest into for example Caicedo would be brilliant business.

If we are able to get 80million for him that would be the best piece of business done by our new owners.

Some reports in Spain say Harry Kane is the number 1 target to replace Benzema. Now do they want both or one or the other?

Suspect Kane would prefer to stay in the PL. He's record-hungry.

Still believe things would have worked out differently had we not shoved him out of position to accommodate Lukaku but it's definitely the right time for him to move on now.

I think he will compliment Vini JR and Rodrigo very well.

I want Kai to stay, but how many players do turn down Real or Barca. We spent 72M on Kai. He goes for 100M  and come June 30th we get our books in order.

€70m is the rumoured fee which is pretty decent. With Perez gutting his team, I would be offering him Cucurella, Pulisic, Ziyech & Koulibaly also to see if he bites.

apparently both

Can’t see him getting Kane because Kane wants that record, the other issue is next year Madrid are going to try to sign one of Halaand or Mbappe.

I think there is definitely a player there in Havertz, and like Mount, I would be sad to see him go.

That said, he has largely disappointed, and it's either sell now or extend tbh.

Personally I would keep both Mount and Havertz, but I think the club has over spent and needs to sell to try and fix the mess they have created.

It's looking like we could see at least £200m coming in from sales, so as long as we dont neglect the key areas of the team, then hopefully we can build something special

I think it's better to sell him now whilst teams still rate him highly. If we wait until he's 26-27 and he's still average we won't be able to offload him.

Personally I just think he bloomed early at Leverkusen because he's a big lad, I don't think he'll become a world class player.

People often reference Salah and De Bruyne, but both of them were playing extremely well at the clubs they were loaned out to before we sold them. It's not like we sold them when they were average and they magically became world class players.

I can see him moving to Madrid and he might suit playing in their system better. If he does leave, we will hopefully get a decent fee and that will massively help towards our FFP targets. If we want to bring in more signings this summer we will need to offload a few at decent fees.

If the interest is serious I think he's as good as gone to be honest.

Did not expect Mason and Kai to leave in the same window at all but I imagine if both happen then I think we're gonna need someone to replace him.

He'll obviously do well in La Liga at Madrid where he'll have a lot more time on the ball, he just isn't suited to the prem.

I don't even really think it's a pace problem with Havertz, it's an effort problem.

To be honest if we get £50m for him then that's a ~25m profit on the book value. If we get £70m then it's master stroke.

I really try to not slag off current players and I love the idea of havertz, but I'm desperate for players like him to get out the club. I'm fed up of watching players dribble shots at keepers.

The only thing I would say, is with him and RLC leaving, and us probably playing a back 4, I'm a bit nervous about our height next year for set pieces.

He wont turn down real madrid no chance... Hes good as gone hopefully we can get 70-90M for him.

He will peak at 27 and dismantle teams if used properly especially in la liga. I feel we haven't seen his best yet and always thought he is better suited for European matches rather than the prem.

“I’ve been told Kai Havertz price is £43-51m plus bonus payments” (@Plettigoal @SkySportDE) #CFC

If that’s true, it’s not the value we were expecting i think. I suppose £45m isn’t too bad.

45 million for a player who can play 9 seasons for them, i'm sure it will be a brilliant deal for Madrid

Money GIF

We will regret this

you all might turn out to be right but something inside me tells me this is a huge mistake

i always thought he was a very elegant and gifted player
