What is a good offer though? He has 2yrs left and has a book value of £30m, I would say anything over £40m+ is a good deal. There are more productive options you could buy on the market with that money, who will add more creativity to the side. Eze, Maddison, Szoboszlai, Spertsyan & Enzo Le Fee are more creative options.

I'm not his biggest fan but 40m for an experienced but still young and talented full German international would be a terrible deal. The other thing to consider is a decent season under Pochettino could see his value increase. I would only want the club to consider 60m+ add-ons. Joao Felix has done nothing in football and Atleti wanted 100m. A Ukranian talent who is only a year younger than Kai and we paid 62m+.

Would love to see Szoboslai here, but he's not joining for 40m. Although I have a sneaky feeling he's the one we'll target to replace Mount.

I think 40M be a robbery, 60-70 be the acceptable range. I mean how could Cucurella with one good season behind him cost 20M+ more than Havertz. Although the words are out we are selling just about anyone to get away from FFP, so no surprises buyers will low ball us. Considering the 600M we spent for the players we got, selling players on the cheap is just as bad, if not worse.

João Felix has won league titles with both Benfica and Atletico Madrid.

& next season after anothrt average season with one year left on his contract, how much do you reckon we would get? Mind you we are offering Pulisic around Europe for £20m.

Szoboszlai has a £50m release clause, Newcastle are already sniffing around and have CL footie to offer.

Are those individual achievements in those leagues? Weird.

Atletico POTY 21/22.

Newcastle already sniffing around him. They have CL football to offer and as one of the richest clubs in the world can afford to buy anyone they want.

I’m also in the keep Havertz camp, but want to see him playing off someone. He is too isolated in the last 18 months at Chelsea and with a better supporting cast in attack I think he’d also do better.

That said, I have a feeling he won’t renew his Chelsea contract as would seek new challenges. I can see why keeping one eye on selling him makes sense.

Those wanting to keep Havertz and let mount go can't be Chelsea fans.

Bar that goal against Man City, I can't think of anything Havertz has done that even warrants a squad birth at CFC. He has been, one of the worst signings I have ever seen at the club for the money we signed him at. He offers no attacking threat, can't defend, gets knocked off the ball, gives the ball away, can't pass or play any position with any conviction across any of the attacking areas of the pitch... All the things mount has done regularly for us... anyhow..

In the league we get one goal every 4.7 games from this pub footballer... essentially one goal per 5 games, that makes a haverts goal ratio rarer than a rural bus service in the orkney islands during a month long hurricane. His assist making is so sub optimal prime it isn't worth calculating.

It might be that he's actually not a very good footballer, it might be that he finds the premiership too quick or physical... but please, if we can get 15 million for him from another club willing to be mugged by us offloading him, snap their arms off.

I can  see Kai in the "dele" role for Pochettino. A bit of needle and also a player with an aerial threat.

Keep.

The big question will be  do you want Kai or nkunku to play that role?

this line creased me up...

"Havertz seems like one of the few players playing at the same level as he did in seasons past. He is what he is; it's not his fault he's currently the club's leading scorer."

It is his fault that he can't stick the ball in the net, run channels, lead a line, win headers/ duels and to compare him as an inverted Soucek, a player who was nearly relegated with West Ham this season just goes to show the hack who put that article together is working in the wrong industry... Should probably try a animal slaughter house and fall in a machine.

Similar to what we would get now. He is still a relatively hot property given his age, fitness, and international pedigree regardless of how frustrating he's been for us.

Just read about the release clause. 100% worth it if we sell Mount or Havertz. We have London and Vivell 🙂

Anyone leaving will be at the agreement of Pochettino and vice versa. He will be deciding who to keep and who not to. I read that he could potentially want to keep Ziyech even so don't rule out him staying.

I feel  he cannot play in a 4-3-3 not intense enough though maybe in 4-2-3-1 yet we have not made  that work yet.

Mainly in my opinion as the defensive midfield has never been good enough.

I was actually shocked when we got Enzo we sold Jorginho I thought the two would play well together instead Enzo has had to do the bulk of it on his own,

Too slow in possession as we have seen the past 3 seasons.  Not sure Pochettino coming in changes that. Adamant we’ve seen enough to suggest if he’s not playing a false 9 he isn’t useful. This league isn’t cut out for him.

Really? World class? That's an over used phrase at the best of times. Using it to describe Havertz has to be the worst of times.

i didn't mean he is world class, he could be world class (at his age a similar player with his talent would be very expensive, so if we sell him to Madrid for a certain amount, we eventually have to get a similar, or more likely, a worse player for more money). Unless we suddenly are able to do what Brighton does and get Mathias Jr the 5th from the 3rd Bolivian division for 50 pesos who turns out to be amazing.

Vini Jr was sh*t at Madrid for some time too

I'm sure Madrid only go for mediocre players and that's why they ended up with Havertz as a target after scouting him mutltiple times

he would absolutely kill it at Madrid
