Kai Havertz

That's fair enough, I did miss that comment.

Quite honestly, I don't really care if you think Kai should start against West Ham, who knows, it might be the right decision. I just think you need to calm down with calling him our best player, a gnerational talent etc. He's still got a lot to prove, you can be excited, but f**k me, it's a recurring theme with you when we get young players. And it's perfectly okay to admit if a player you like has an absolute mare, you don't need to throw others under the bus or exaggerate to defend a player you like.

Anyway, if Kai does play against West Ham, I don't think he will (start anyway), I hope he does prove me wrong big time.

OK I promise you that I will do my best to calm down.

I don't really care who starts I just want things to work out and that we win, but I really like Kai. I didn't want any other team to sign him so I do have very high hopes.

Trust me. No other team is signing Kai.

In order for that to happen, we would have to both give up on him and have a club spend 60m+

Simple as that. Why all the premature panic and long tense posts? It's unfortunate that you cannot make the rational inference based on evidence (or the lack of it) and just say " Let's wait and see, he had a good record in Germany, Frank's not an idiot and can probably judge the potential of a footballer, our coaching staff aren't a bunch of idiots and see many things we cannot, this isn't the first player to struggle at the start (see Salah, de Bruyne and so many others), etc.".

You may think that this constant premature moaning (match chat or otherwise) doesn't do anything but it obviously lowers the mood both in the match threads and otherwise. Havertz may or may not come good but we just do not know yet! Wait and see, it can't be that hard to do surely.

That is terribly balanced and mature, stop it at once!

Is this the same guy Drinkwater used to make his video? The f**king awful music probably put everyone off if it is!

Just a cameo but still bloody awful and managed to be the worst player on the pitch. Just sit him out for a while...

Worse than Kepa, should never see the light of day from now on.

I would rather play Kepa than Havertz at this point but we still need to see if he will improve over time.

I know, we should just give Havertz to our worst enemy for free. Send him to Spurs for free I say. Play Kepa instead.

I think you have lost your marbles a bit, chin up it's the internet..

Maybe I’m the only one but I genuinely thought he improved the team tonight - I’m not saying I want him to be a starter next game, just that he’s had a positive impact.

The thing with Havertz is when you watch him, the class is so obvious but he need to start making things happen! He has the aura of a world class footballer, but he has to prove it and get more goals and assists.

Good things come to those who wait (and wait).  He'll get there.  It's all just off right now, but he isn't the only one.  Hell, even Ashely Barnes hadn't scored for over 12 months, and he finally got one.  If Barnes can do it, Kai can!

Not much is being said about the post-covid effects that some people are getting, even fit, healthy people can be totally f**ked by the after effects, which can last for months and months.

E.g. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-covid-19-breaking-19483898

Kai had it and I wonder if he's feeling the effects still?

Yeah but why let that get in the way of a good moan

I actually agree. He came on, competed physically, drew in a few players and managed to offload the ball. I actually think he looks good playing on the right at the moment. I would be interested to see Pulisic, Werner, Havertz (when James and Chillwell are fit).

Cant say I can even blame him when hes constantly being played out of position

Bayern was never going for him this summer, every single report I've seen over the summer pointed out how Bayern would go for him in 1 year time and he simply didn't care to wait for them.

It would be a strange reaction if he was happy for underperforming, and not only him but the whole squad for that matter, I don't think that anyone is satisfied with the last results.

I've just read the same probably boll*cks,

Havertz has been restricted to a subs' role for recent games, and German journalist Raymond Hinko reckons the 21-year-old will be wishing he had joined Bayern Munich.

Writing in Sport Bild, he said: “Kai Havertz, even if he doesn’t say it out loud, will have already cursed a 100 times that he moved from Leverkusen to the midfield bores of Chelsea, following the lure of money.”
