Hope Ben comes out of this injury without any problems. His movement has been top notch and his workrate immense.

Just posted it in the matchday squad but apparently left the stadium last night with a slight limp but no crutches which should be a good sign. Hopefully nothing more than a dead leg.

This doesn't sound great.

Big blow to our season if the worst is confirmed here. Him and Reece have been so important for our season so far.

Part of why he left Atletico is he did not want to play there lol.

And come on we simply cannot replace what Ben has given us this season with Alonso  we will need to sign cover in January if this is true.

If Ben is out we need a good runner with good technique to replace him. Maybe Kovacic.

Would sooner Dave gets a run there than Alonso.

Hope it’s not an ACL.. that would be terrible.. I remember when essien first did his in a meaningless UCL game was never the same again..

True enough, Zouma recovered from his well though. All depends on how bad it actually is and how well the body adapts after healing.

Either way I hope we get some news soon. The club has top medical professionals it should not take them long to diagnose and created a treatment plan or send Ben for surgery.

Hang on guys Alonso started the season well then had a couple bad games, he did well for Spain in the nations league after that so we can't write him off until he's had another go.

Alonso has purple patches and then drops levels, is what he does. 

In a Conte system. He is a very good wingback. Our wingbacks play far more in the game than Contes, far more to do. They need to be super fit, have an engine to get up and down the pitch all game and have excellent ball control, technique and vision. Marcos has the vision, that is it. We are better off with Dave there than Alonso getting gased.

Alonso will get his chance again, but I think we in the longrun need better options for our wingbacks when James & Chilwell is not playing.
