His family is happy here and so is he. It is probably his last season with us but is great he remains one more year.
January 3, 20224 yr That's excellent news. Silva, Chalobah, plus 3 others from Rudiger, Christensen, Sarr, Colwill, Kounde, Szalai would be a good centre back unit for next season :-)
January 3, 20224 yr Best freebie since I shoplifted The Queen is Dead on vinyl from Tower Records as a 13 year old.

Unless Colwill in unable to play it would be as foolish as letting James go out on loan if we don't include Colwill.
January 3, 20224 yr Such a wonderful player to watch, everything seems easy for him on the pitch, even at 37 years old and in the most demanding league physically he's one of the best.

Works for me, but I think the club will probably want him to do a PL loan for a year. Assuming Rudiger, Christensen are both leaving, I'd go with Silva, Kounde, Chalobah, Colwill and Szalai myself (on Szalai, I'm choosing to believe what I read about TT's Hungarian assistant coach recommending him)

I am thinking if the Szalai rumours are true he comes this window.

I once met Christopher Lee in the Classical music department there LOL. Heard him before I saw him ... unmistakable voice ! Spoke to him for a couple of minutes - nice bloke !

January 3, 20224 yr Also worth pointing out that clearly it is possible for someone who actually wants to stay at the club to sign a new contract which I am sure he is well paid to do. Yet Rudiger and AC are treated like they are being offered bowls of gruel to stay...

January 3, 20224 yr Great news for Chalobah, and hopefully Colwill as well. Must be a treat to train, play alongside and learn from the master ! And with JT back on board behind the scenes as well ... it is certainly a good time to be a young Chelsea centre back :-)
January 3, 20224 yr Fantastic news, my 7 year old sons favourite player, and one the best centre backs ive seen play for Chelsea. Looking at him compared to vvd yesterday, and they arent the same level.
