37 years old! One of the best CB's in the best league in the world, leading the defense of European Champion club, proving game after game that he's top class defender.

I just hope he will keep this form as long as he can because when I see him play, I don't feel his age, I feel his passion, leadership, defending ability and world class player.

 

They made a mistake on his birth certificate. He is really only 27 😁 no 37 year old can do that. He is like a spring chicken

Love this guy. A very professional operator and he adores the club.

It's only a shame we didn't sign him a few years earlier.

 

His levels of consistency is simply incredible. Week after week, game after game, sometimes 3 matches in a week. Flawless, a leader and class human being.

Jose once said a team of 11 Dave's would win everything. No doubt a team of 11 Silvas would too.

Amazing to see how much he loves it here as well. True blue, hopefully he can help us/we can help him win some more trophies in this next year and a bit. He deserves it.

It was interesting listening to Jamie Carragher yesterday. He said he knew Sliva was a top player but he didn’t realise exactly how good he was. 
 

Another incredible performance. Seems to be getting better with age. 

 

Was an admirer of Silva long before he joined us. But the more I see him play the more I am blown away at just how good he is. We have had some quality players over the seasons but I struggle to think of another player who reads the game as well and makes it look as easy as Silva. Absolutely love the guy!

 

 

I’m so so thankful he’s signed extension before everything happened. Imagine him leaving this summer…

Without meaning to jinx it I wonder how long he can actually last, I thought this season was when he was going to slowly wind down into a squad player but if anything has become more crucial.

Ronaldo is the same age but although he still scores goals his general play in the present day isn't very good, Zlatan who came to the PL at a similar age was very good but his loss of pace was evident.

Thiago is still genuinely playing like he's in his prime.

He is a class act. JT has taught us all that pace is not the be all and end all for a CB. When you can read the game as well as Thiago (and JT), you don't need pace.
