Haaland could see us interesting after such a brilliant CL run.

I thought that he didn't see us as a major club. What compared to the clubs he's been at so far?. Tw@t.

Would end up being a mercenary for a year or 2 before he forces a move through to Real or Barca.

Sources near to him let it be known he does not see us as a big club and he has a well mapped out path for his career that sees him end up at a Barca or real, an "elite" level club.

If we win some times in that time then it works out, if not that is a whole lot of cash and an even bigger circus around him and his tw@t of an agent.

Biggest conern is him unsettling the applecart with his ridiculous wage demands. 500k for a 20 year old 1 season in a decent league.

Hazard always wanted Madrid eventually, doesnt mean we shouldnt have signed him, Havertz is big Barcelona fan. With a player that is putting up better numbers than Messi and Ronaldo did at that age, I think it would be a massive coup to get him here. At the end of the day, if his numbers continue, we get a massive fee for him, he gets close to Lampards goal record, and hopefully pick up a few trophies along the way. Who knows, may e he sticks around longer than he planned, we tend to have the effect on players.

I don't think he would. Most players that join us tend to stick around for a good chunk of their career. Barcelona and Real Madrid ain't exactly the best place to be right now either and La Liga overall is a bit of a mess right now. Did you watch much of it last season? the quality is nowhere near the level it used to be and it's so slow.

La Liga is in trouble, this is why Florentino Perez is desperately hanging on to the Super League. He knows that the Spanish teams are in serious danger of dropping off the same way the Italian teams have. We finished 4th in our own league but absolutely dominated Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the Champions League. Then you look at the players they are signing. An aging Aguero and Alaba, both still good players but not signings you would expect from two clubs that need an overhaul and injection of top quality young players. Real Madrid and Barcelona just can't afford the likes of Haaland right now, if they suddenly found the cash for a player like him, then I would think something really dodgy is going on.

Barcelona is in big debts and they have extreme expenditures in wages, Messi is getting paid so much but he has been irrelevant in the CL for 5 years now so he's basically getting at least 500k per week just to boost some stats against teams like Levante and so on. Haaland would need to pledge his allegiance to Messi as soon as he arrives and it would be impossible for them to pay him as much as Messi but according to all reports that's exactly how much he wants to be paid so I can see that whole thing being a new Ibrahimovic/Dembele/Griezmann thing where as soon as a player doesn't care to be the second best man it's all over for him...

Real Madrid's Florentino Perez is simply deluded, he's still keen on Mbappe or Haaland despite not having any money, funny how Wenger described those teams so accurately many years ago, they want to simply keep spending more than they are earning. If Haaland has any working brain cells he would know that Real Madrid's spine that won the CL 3 times in a row is too old now, all of their key players are past their peak, sure he might be their next CR7 scoring a lot but it doesn't matter much when the rest of the team needs a full rebuild.

Top teams at the moment are Man City and even though I'm biased our team is also a top team because we have been rebuilding for the past few seasons and now we have young players that are going to be our spine for the next 5+ years, Haaland would be playing with his own generation more or less because James, Mount, Havertz, Pulisic, CHO are all young and already a big part of the squad. Kante looks like he's still at his best as well so Haaland would fully experience playing with one of the best box-to-box players ever...

With all that said, if we're to compare the results I find it funny how the 4th best team in the PL managed to beat the top 2 teams of La Liga but at the same time the 2nd best PL team lost to Villareal, 7th best La Liga team...

Big difference between them and Haaland. Raiola. That says it all.

One of the conditions of signing him should be he sacks his agent after and agrees to never rehire him.

An incomplete Haaland goes for 200m, so a developed/completed one would easily net us 250m.

If not us, then Raiola would make sure of that. That fat cnut will never let his player run a contract down

It is just one game. You can also say how a relegated team can put 5 past Champions of europe.

Well, well, well...

Raiola must've given the ok

He'd be a massive investment but going into the future with Mount (22), Haaland (20) and Havertz (21) as our front three is the stuff of dreams.

It is just Matt law. And we would still have to deal with his agent lining his pockets making the outlay well over 200mill plus 500k wages. Unless roman really wants him and we find some mega sponsors to allow us to bust our wage structure it cannot happen or it will be a sinkhole for us.

Funnily enough Matt Law wrote the following story about a year ago:
