Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

I cannot believe how a world class coach persists with the same system when clearly its not working! Why not play same system we did Tottenham first leg!

Than waiting 80 minutes to make a substitution its mad. I can only think he is feeling the pressure and it has clouded his judgement.

A bit disappointed with Tuchel tonight.

Obviously covid and injuries play a big part.

The best thing he can do now is drop Lukaku and only use him against lower league teams like Chesterfield. Even though he still struggled against them.

On top of that heads dropped from no longer being in a title race

If this Lukaku obsession stops we'll turn this round. If he keeps shoehorning him in then it will get worse.

Sometimes things are exactly how they say on the tin.

We have to keep TT. This time we need to clear out the crap players and start investing or playing the academy. Sarr is a better option than Alonso and I love you Dave but it’s time to hang your boots up.

He won't last the season. As soon as we drop out of the top 4, it'll be over.

@Dean not that I want to be proven right my friend but the snowball is starting to roll down the hill.

I was also disappointed. Especially with the lack of substitutions until the 80th minutes, when what we did was clearly not working. I don't get you're criticism though. Tuchel tried to change it up, we played with a 4-2-3-1 today, which is what we played against the Spurs if I remember correctly. This goes deeper than formations unfortunately.

I’d rather clear out that whole team than get rid of Tuchel.

Me too. We are long overdue a good clear out but I just don't see Roman changing a method what has brought him great success.

Standing my ground 🙂

He was too slow with his subs tonight and he also subbed off the wrong players imo. I’d have persisted with the 5 at the back but had that performance come whilst playing in the usual formation he’d be getting slated on here.

I think he will be fine. The board will be aware of injuries and covid.

I don't think he's under threat of losing his job right now, but the trend is very worrying and today was one of the worst performances recently. The team looks really disjointed and clueless on the pitch. The celebration when Ziyech scored was also a bit strange. They're obviously feeling the pressure.

We have to turn it around. If it goes on like this until the end of the season, I doubt TT is going to be our manager at the start of 22/23.

Tuchel will other succeed or fail by integrating Lukaku. I just don't see a scenario where Tuchel is allowed by the board to phase out a 100m signing as dead wood. I suspect Lukaku was more of board signing but that doesn't matter at this point. They will expect to him to play most games.

It looked like 3 defenders to me and Ziyech playing on the right wing and alonso on the left. But you are right its deeper than just a formation change.

The fact that none of the attackers are performing though its down to coaching too as i don't believe that they are all useless.

Stop with the hysterics everyone. We’re a spring team 😉

Yep. We will surely spring back once we have the inevitable managerial change 😉

Like with Kepa and his sunk cost rotting on the sidelines, if the change gets us top 4 comfortably and gives us a genuine shot at the 4 cups left in play you would hope they'd see that as a net positive.

He should leave on his own terms and go to a better club.

This current group of players don't deserve a manager like him.

We need to get the rot out before we bring anyone in or else it will only be a repeat.
