March 2, 20224 yr If the new owners are intelligent, they’ll be supporting TT to remain as head coach.

The only time new owners go down that path is when the manager they inherit is sh*t/not good enough for the ambitions of the club under the new leadership (Bruce, Ranieri). I could have missed someone obvious but I can't recall a genuine world class manager falling victim on the "face not fitting" front under new ownership. If we get owners that care about the bottom line first and foremost they'll likely go all out to keep Tuchel for quite a while as he will have the ability to hide the fact they are finances before the success on the pitch type owners (ala Fergie/Glazers, Klopp/FSG) and keep them rolling in the UCL money in the process.

Maybe. Wonder if Petr will stay, I expect Marina likely won't.

March 2, 20224 yr I have no idea what the f**k he is doing with selection today. Loftus-Cheek at CB? Kenedy. CHO at RB? You can't take these liberties against in-form teams.

No Dave, no Silva, No AC, No Trev, No Alonso, No Chilwell. James too risky to start. Left him with Rudiger and pi$$ all else.
March 3, 20224 yr With Jorgi not starting as much of late I wonder who is the next in line as pen taker?
March 3, 20224 yr I thought it was an interesting idea to try RLC at centre back last night. He certainly looked good bringing the ball forwards. I wonder if TT will try this again on a consistent basis ? RLC has always suffered from nobody really knowing what his best position was ... Conte thinking of him as a forward for example. I must say, in all my thoughts about where to play him, I'd never once considered centre back as an option !

I must say, in all my thoughts about where to play him, I'd never once considered centre back as an option ! I could definitely see the logic - he’s very David Luiz/Sliva like. I suspect though that against better opposition, he would get found out. Even against Luton, we were abit of mess defensively. For a one off match, RLC did ok.
March 3, 20224 yr Yeah, even though Loftus Cheek did well bringing the ball forward, I thought he was a disaster at defending. It felt like they were going to score on every counter attack or cross. Like JM7 said, a better opposition would take the piss out of him.

March 5, 20224 yr I saw today on the media TT being questioned about the club, he said it was the best run club he had ever been at and saw more success in the future despite the ownership change.
March 5, 20224 yr Has been very critical towards the fans chanting Roman's name during the minutes applause of today's game: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/12558320/chelsea-fans-chant-roman-abramovichs-name-during-ukraine-tribute-against-burnley

March 5, 20224 yr There's always been that demographic of fans at the club. Chelsea always had hooligans. I find it ironic Burnley fans were booing lol.

Some fans maybe don't see the connection between football and politics, I'm ok with the fans showing support for Roman because it's clear that he won't be the owner in the very near future so that was from Chelsea to Chelsea, one of our own is leaving.

Yes but not during the one minute dedicated to the victims of war. Idiotic that.

They did a couple of times during the game. That made me happy. During the minutes applause for those suffering, or now dead, from the war, was disrespectful and distasteful.
March 6, 20224 yr Agreed with previous comments, absolutely disgusting and just gives ammunition to those who believe we are just braindead thugs and scum.
