Onward and upwards and hopefully I’ll soon get to enjoy watching Chelsea’s players being unshackled and produce some entertaining attacking football instead of the sh*t being churned out week after week. That will happen first...then comes the time when we ship in goals, we sack whoever comes after TT, and hire some new italian tactician who says we need to tighten up, we start defending and win a cup or two, then the attackers start to deflate, we lose games and he is sacked, new guy comes in with new attacking ideas.....and so on and so forth.
September 7, 20223 yr Potter, Poch, Zidane… God, we’ve finally drained the lake. Finally, we reach the stage where there are no fish left in the sea.. we’ve sacked an elite tactician because the squad needs about 2-3 years of recruitment and development for what?.. mind bending decision. It’s early September, 6th in the league and lost a group stage match, mind bending.
September 7, 20223 yr Author Were going down ! Tuchel was our only hope. These players are the worst we have had in 20 years. Tuchel was not the problem. Todd knows f**k all about the game.

Pretty much nailed it, word for word this is how it will play out. Trapped. Never ending cycle.

Before he came to PSG he’d won ONE cup as a manager. He’s spent £350M at Chelsea, without a DoF interfering with any decisions, yet produced some of the worst football I’ve ever seen. Thank you! He Isn’t even a Top 3 German coach. No idea where this idea came from.

September 7, 20223 yr I feel incredibly sorry for Tuchel. He protected us through that sh*t we went through before Boehly came in, handled himself professionally and gave Chelsea fans the belief that whatever happened, we would be okay. Amongst all of that, he was going through his own personal issues with his divorce. This is the thanks he gets? It really is a disgrace. Honestly, I can't think of a more disgusting sacking in football.

We know Auba can be a prick from his Arsenal days, and I thought the whole point of him signing with us was to work with TT, as he is one of the few people who can keep him in-line. Not even a loan too 😅 madness, now we’ve got a MASSIVE ego in the dressing room and a known trouble maker without his soul-mate Tuchel keeping him in check. Literally, this is all a total disaster.

I pray the players and the board get an earful at the Bridge.

I think doing them under Tuchel only to sack him is a mistake, but I can respect him wanting to have his own man in charge and if he continues to back us the way he has been, then I can live with it (the way we lived with it under Roman)

Can't wait to see who he picks. Probably the Leeds gaffer, they both speak the US lingo
September 7, 20223 yr Very harsh decision IMO. I also think some people don’t realise how bang average some of the players we have are.

The mistake was committing to Tuchel and spending all the money we did with his advice and guidance, only then to sack him a week later. It would have been reasonable to give him until the World Cup to see if things improved. If they didn't, it would have been easier to justify the sacking rather than what we're seeing now. In hindsight, the club would have been better off in the summer saying that with new owners we want a complete reset and Tuchel is not a part of our future plans. The backlash would have been big, but it would have allowed everyone to adjust to a new beginning in the off-season. It was an awkward pairing in the same way Roman never wanted Ranieri, and tried to find any reason to sack him on a whim. What's crazy about all of this is we were apparently in discussions with him and his management just three weeks ago about signing a new contract. I have no idea whether this is the case, but I suspect a major falling out has taken place between the coach and other stakeholders.
September 7, 20223 yr Disgusted by this. I truly hope that the reason is because something internally went wrong. He helped us through such a sh*t period. Not so long ago the majority wanted that he would extend his contract. Now while working on a new squad instant sack? Unbelievable. I truly don't know who I want him to be replaced with. I really feel disgusted by this.
September 7, 20223 yr The American’s lack of understanding of the game is going to kill us for the next few years, reactionary & clueless. There isn’t a better tactician alive than Tuchel for head-to-heads.. Guardiola, Conte etc are the happiest men alive right now. We have lost an ELITE manager and there is nobody left available matching his nous.
September 7, 20223 yr Cheers Tommy, there were some highest of highs and lowest of lows but anyone who loses to Southampton gets what they deserve. @Mod move the thread.

September 7, 20223 yr Anyone here actually believe if we got Pep or Klopp they wouldn’t be sacked within two years?
September 7, 20223 yr Why is it seen as some sort of benefit for being in charge with a lot of transfer related work for Tuchel? He must have hard one hell of a hard time if he had to discuss all this stuff with somebody who had no - NO - experience with football or European sports at all a couple of months ago? I mean, if you're happy he's gone, all right, but that argument is just nonsense. If done correctly you'd have a DoF, a competent one, in charge to build the squad - also to bring in players that would fit into the managers idea. That should be a no-brainer and not some sort of bonus. Really feeling for the guy, first his Dortmund stint which was literally bombed apart, then the genius Leonardo at PSG who barely outlasted Tuchel himself (and also his appointed manager Poch..) and now this. First last season where you find yourself within a club in free fall with Marina and Cech ducking away leaving ALL the communication relating to the very existence of the club tho the manager + now a clueless owner that has the pockets full of money (now a bit less than before) but hardly any strategy to boot.
