Frank guided us to a 4th finish, on same points as Man United and that is despite them signing Bruno, who got their established team out of jail. Meanwhile Frank had to play Kepa, Pedro, Willian, the academy kids who played in the championship the year before. You can paint it however you want to but the truth is Frank had a fantastic season, guiding us to 4th finish and FA cup final. Did we really expect this after a transfer ban and the huge loss of Eden Hazard? I was prepared for a top 10 finish considering the circumstances. Frank has exceeded expectations massively. That's the truth. Absolutely 100% But you also have to accept the fact that Frank did a bad job this season, regardless of how many excuses people want to put down. We should be above the likes of West Ham and Southampton.

Top 4 will be good enough for the club this season, but like Frank, Turchel will be tasked with competing for the top spot next season, become detached by more than 10-12 points and it's goodbye,
January 26, 20215 yr Hello everyone, I want to apologize if my english is not grammatically correct. I am not a native English speaker. I see people have a lot of problems with Tuchel. He hasn't even been official appointed, but we are speaking about sacking him. To 4 is hard to get, but we can still have hope. I don't think Frank could turn things around. He is still new in coaching, we don't have e record of him revitalizing a team. Should Chelsea have given him more time? No, why should they? Because he is Frank Lampard? The man is a legend, he must be treated with respect. But that's all from my point of view. He had the chance of coaching on of the best teams in Europe because of what he means for the club. Finally, as a coach, the results speaks for you. If there was any other coach in his place, the fans were desperate to be fired. Reports said that the team was divided. I didn't saw a clear idea of what football should the team play. I don't think the players had an idea either. We were tactically outclassed in many games, i dont think is hard for other managers to prepare the tactics for playing against Chelsea. Lampard said after Arsenal defeat that "“It is not tactics or systems, it is do you want to run, back your team-mate out and sprint?" Sure it is about tactics. You can run as much as you want, but if you don't do it smart, you run for nothing. Leeds also runs and they are in 12th place. Our pressing is bad, not organized, not smart, the players get themselves out of position with ease when they press. We have fast players in attack but they receive the ball with the back to the goal or when they are outnumberd on the flanks in 99% of times. Then we are passing back and repeat. Or throw the ball in the box, maybe something happens. A joy to watch, glad i haven't broken my TV yet. We are not playing for the players qualities. I don't know what Lampard does in training sessions, but a national team seems more cohesive than Chelsea. So give Lampard more time for what? To learn coaching? Chelsea is a coaching school for legends now? Where is the tactical mastermind? When playing 3 on the back and no one expected? I saw that someone raises the issue that if Tuchel plays 4-2-3-1, it is a system that benefits Havertz and Mount could jump out of the scheme. So what? We want positive results or to see some players in the first eleven? And i'm sure Mount can play as no.10. It is wrong to say that you are "only 5 points away from top 4". We are in 9th place for God's sake. 10th if you take into account that Southampton has one game less and is tied on points. Aston Villa and Everton are 2 games less, Tottenham 1. It's a messed up situation. We can hope that the new manager can turn things around but is very very hard to reach top 4. We finishd 4 last season not because Lampard was tactical genius, but because other teams like Tottenham or Arsenal had a bad season and Leicester dropped form at the end of the season ( Leicester only 3 wins in the last 14 games). I think it was a lucky 4th place.

You forgot a bit!
January 26, 20215 yr I expect Tuchel to win the Champions League, FA cup, Premier League and World Cup this season. If he fails, I'm Tuchel OUT.

I always laugh (in a good way) when people apologize for poor English that turns out to be anything but, I've been studying Spanish on and off for a decade and while i know enough to get by in Spain/Central and South America i would give anything to have such a "poor" grasp of the language as you do English Anyone who speaks two or more languages well deserves all the credit in the world in my opinion. January 26, 20215 yr I've been offline for 2.5 hours, have we done any hiring and subsequent firing in that time?

If Tuchel also finishes in the top 4 next season I think he will keep his job. He will lose his job if we fall short of top 4 come May or if we have a major slump like this season where top 4 is starting to look unlikely.

Top 4 has to be the target though, we aren't that far behind, Franks sacking can definitely be seen as premature. That's why I specifically said "Nip it in the bud", because I think it was destined to get worse, the players stopped playing for him, game by game it looked worse and worse. I'll be surprised if we don't see an improvement in the first few weeks under Tuchel (should he be the boss, high chance he is).
January 26, 20215 yr Reports say Tuchel will be training the team in the evening and will be at the match vs Wolves. Whatever happens vs Wolves we shouldn't judge Tuchel, wait for the match vs Spurs.

January 26, 20215 yr I think the first and the most important thing the new coach will do is to restore the players confidence.

January 26, 20215 yr f**k it, I'm excited for Tuchel. He's going to be our manager for 10 years and win us multiple big cups and playing amazing football. I'll never stop being excited by a new manager. I can't help it.

If the board changes the way the club is run he might stay longer but judging his history and our clubs history it reminds me of Conte more than anything. They are bound to clash sooner or later. I wish we had a long term plan but as things stand right now I can't see a scenario where we won't be looking for a new manager in 1 year time.
