Lukaku looks so much fitter compared to his United days where he looked like he put on too much weight. He is lethal running on to a pass. I still think his game with his back to goal is sh*t though.

Lukaku took his goals well and noticed Henry chatting to him, forgot he was involved in their set up.

Nice to see Eden involved, he still has the touch though too few minutes to see if he is really fit.

Russia were poor, wondered if they would get a goal from a corner with the giant though not to be.

Think Russia will be going home early.

Could be French or more local to Belgium, I didn't watch the game and sadly I've never been to Belgium.

Thought you were Belgian

So which nationality are you?

Was bloody horrible to see the incident live on TV. Especially as the cameras zoomed in. I'm still in shock and it reminded me how quickly life can just be taken away.

Don't think he will play anymore, it's something underlying that triggered it and because help was so quick it's going to take awhile to find what caused it.

These players are run through heart tests multiple times and it's mandatory before big tournaments like this so they are checked up on regulary but this must have been missed as you can't detect everything.

Just glad he's ok and well. Can't imagine what his closest must have felt during that time.

I went for a walk with my kids earlier, had a little look on Facebook and going by the posts, I assumed it was a terrorist attack at the stadium (posts saying thoughts with all the players and fans at the match and so on).  Went over to Sky Sports News and saw what happened.  Obviously both those scenarios are horrible.

I'm glad he seems on the mend.  All the best to him, not sure if we'll ever see him on the pitch again, but you never know.

Even if he has a heart condition - and how like Strider to give us this diagnosis from miles away and without medical training - it doesn't necessarily mean forced retirement. There is a multitude of heart conditions, some are perfectly treatable. Daley Blind for instance also collapsed on the pitch a few years ago and is now kitted out with an internal defibrillator, and still playing.

Interesting as my Dad has one too now for a year.

I warned him the night before the heart attack to eat some fresh food like a piece of fruit as he had overdosed on processed food. He ignored me ate a chunk of meat and the next morning had bad chest pain.

He now has an ICD fitted yet get side effects, he really feels the cold. Never did before.

Dad's issue was he ate loads of salt and the heart specialist told him to cut it down too.

He won't listen to me about health only politics.

That's interesting, I wonder why you thought that, I consider myself a citizen of the world...

Though I'm kind of in between these Denmarks and Finlands so you can figure it out, a very boring geo-political position historically speaking... Fun fact I've been to Finland and I consider them to be very smart people in general, their education system is a bit different from the rest and some of them have a funny mentality.

Aha yes not so boring in the 18th C, think perhaps it was the Napoleon YouTube clips though I didn't think you were French.

I have just remember this chap @Krc-fan perhaps I got the two of you mixed up.

Southgate has actually started Trippier at left-back and has consigned James to the bench. Where is Chilwell?
Oh well, if we lose against Croatia, at least we have a scapegoat.

Bloody Trippier, shouldn't be nowhere near the team over Chillwell / Shaw.

Did Trippier ever played left back at club level ? Don't really understand that choice.

Not with Atletico, only with England during the the Nations league competition.

That back 5 is awful. Not all of that is Southgate's fault but the selection at LB is bizarre.

England might still have enough in attack to scrape a result though.

Pickford, Mings, Stones all worry me as all prone to errors.

Three in one team............

Can't understand what Southgate is doing with some of those choices.

Trippier, a RB, picked over both Chilwell and Shaw, two LB's that have had good seasons and should be well ahead of Trippier for the LB spot.

2 DM's. Sterling is playing like sh*t but still gets picked. Mings is a disaster waiting to happen and I personally think Walker is an average defender but good going forward.

It's such a defensive minded line up, but the defence he has picked looks weak. I feel like Croatia will fancy their chances against this team.

If not Portugal then I hope England wins it. Despite some bad examples from some supporters(not only England ofc) it's a national team that you can easily fall in love, the history, great generations of players, the It's coming home thing, the Impossible job thing. I think it's one of the most romantic stories in football. Good luck everyone.
