Well that was hilarious.

I particularly liked Lee Peltier (the new Kelvin Davis - in the sense of me being surprised every two years or so that he's still playing) accidentally hitting his penalty into the roof of the net.

Didn’t he come through Liverpools academy? I remember always signing him on Football Manager 1862.

Well, not really. I don't think I have seen a club sign so many average to poor defenders. Also, Grealish has been sh*t since joining. The difference is that City can afford to make flop signings and just go out and replace them the next season. Other clubs can't do that. This is why we can't just go out and replace our failing attacking players, we have to stick with them and hope they work out because we can't afford to just go and throw another £150-£200m at clubs.

Our transfer targets Kounde, Rice and Tchouameni have low risk of failing so that's a bright sign.

Are United the new Arsenal? They have become the club football fans watch to laugh at.

Mark Goldbridge has become my new AFTV. His reaction to Middlesbrough's goal standing was hilarious. He went on for a full minute or two laughing at the Middlesbrough players celebrating only for his mood to instantly change when it was allowed to stand 😆

May I know who are these average defenders ?

Proper lower league FA Cup goal from Middlesbrough ... not withstanding the hand ball, I just loved the way that Watmore shinned it across to Crooks, who shinned it past Henderson :-)

City and  Liverpool are lucky in recent years that we are below our old level, and Arsenal, Spurs and United are a long way below even that LOL.

More a big two and a half rather than a big six, as far as the PL is concerned.

Big six only in name. I personally hold Wolves, Brighton & Aston Villa in higher esteem than United, Arsenal and Tottenham. They certainly play better football and seem to have a better recruitment strategy. Even Crystal Palace and the scummers are better run clubs I would argue.

Mendy, Ake, Danilo, Stones. These 4 alone cost over £100m, no other club could spend that kind of money on defenders and then spend another £100-£200m on more defenders.
