I saw reported that Barca have sold off a chunk their future earnings for a 700 mill pound lump sum now. Bit like when Bowie sold his future royalties for a big wedge way back when. If it’s true that’s a big F off war chest and does explain why Dembele could stay put how Kounde could go and why they’ll get Lewandoski.  It’s the box office pulling power that we used to have before Marina made our transfer policy into a carnival.

So if not Kounde who does he want to replace AC? I would like to believe TT will trust in Trev and Levi as I believe they will do great but I just don't see him doing so.

After pressing to sign Jules Kounde for over a year  Chelsea have now ‘disappeared from the map’ and Sevilla are very upset and they want an update on Chelsea's intentions . . . .Well, my guess is that we got fed up dealing with the club and the player already said he prefers a move to Barca.  We have a long list of CB options. Kounde to Barca? This is also very unlikely, given the fact that the Barcelona club are freaking broke. Also, Barca just hired a certain AC from Chelsea so not sure they were ever interested in Kounde.  So, Kounde, who we all thought would be our first signing might end up being a late summer signing?   We should wait until they are ready to come to the table to discuss properly.

This window sets the tone for the new owners. If they allow themselves to be ripped off every agent and club will think they are soft touches.

My guess it is either Kounde or De Light and that we are not after both of them.  That we are after another CB but maybe an older/cheaper player?

One of the podcasts said that the club are definitely after De Ligt / Kounde but the other defender will be a premier league based player. Said it was too risky to have half of your defence with no premier league experience. 
 

Kind of makes sense but not sure who we could get without over paying.

Maguire is a big powerful lad who’s dominate in the air.  Unlike Pulisic whos weak and terrible at everything.

Sevilla fully expected a bid from #Chelsea for Jules Kounde by now, but the Blues are prioritising other targets and the situation is becoming a problem for Sevilla as they want to get on with their own business.

Perhaps it was always a board signing and not TT's choice, maybe MDL is the main target? I'd certainly prefer him, he'd also get a year or two to learn from Thiago.

He’s one that I think we will eventually be in for. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of smoke about him leaving Leicester this summer though. Maybe due to his bad injury. So, maybe next summer?
