Cucurella played CB in the league 6 times that season, so he still started at LB/LM as much as Chilwell did and was performing much worse.

Mount didn't hurt at all, personally. On a footballing level and sentimental. It was evident then (and even more obvious now) that Mount was just so far and away from regaining his 2019-2021 form. Add the fact he rejected two deals, one of which was a 6 year deal at £200kwp, on top of his ISIS goodbye video with he and his father acting like children in the United dressing room "home". Nah f**k him.

Gallagher was actually improving as a player and wanted to be here, even ignoring moves to Spurs/Everton/Villa as a result.

    Yeah, sorry that’s what I meant. Mount was the ‘face’ of the Cobham success story and seemed to be the next stalwart of the side.

    The drop off coupled with that horrific video made it all the worse.

    Connor was just sort of here one day and gone the next.

    He chose Spurs because the Villa option was only for a loan. Conor and his family are all Chelsea, it must have been tough for him when the club decided to get rid of him..

    And we brought Felix to Chelsea as part of the deal FFS

    He would rather be at his childhood club, this is all our f**king fault, the fans had a large banner made with Conor on it, he saw it and applauded, looking emotional before kick off ..

    It had to be those North London c**ts didn't it , I wish him the best, but not for ANY game he plays for those f**kers
