I highly doubt that with the government just elected that any organization in the UK will be getting Less regulated. Unfortunately

The government doesn't regulate the PL.

Deregulation isn't something that improves our lives

The twitteratti are reporting Atletico are very angry at what we have done by tanking the Samu deal, and the offer we made for Felix  being far less than they asked for.

Seen it said that either we sort it out soon or they pull the plug on the whole thing.

Face saving by Fabrizio AGAIN this window lol. Looks to me like to deal if completely off if we have told Conor to return and have sorted out a flight for him.

Maybe a gambit to make Atletico confirm the deal but I reckon the plug is being pulled.

EDIT

Spanish media reporting is Atletico who have told Conor to go back and wait in London, not us. Showing they only want him if we scratch their backs too.

And some of our fans still believe in this ownership. If this and what has happened to Trev have not opened their eyes yet, nothing will.

Man I feel bad for Conor.

Been a top pro in his time here, was our leader last season. Been treated like carp by the ownership, thinks he has found a new club and manager that really want him, only to find out they will only take him if Chelsea play PSR chess with them, all the while they sign Alaverz without City having to buy from them.

If Atleti really wanted him they would be saying sod Chelsea we want this lad, like they did Alvarez.

He deserves better.

Bring the boy home. Let him be captain and figure out another way. Man oh man, as a Canadian, who has worked in PE before, not only are these SDs terrible at being traditional SDs for a football club but (shocker!) turns out they are even worse at being British SDs trying to play by North American PE rules…

they just come off as clunky and awkward and it all just seems unnatural.

they are out of their depth. But probably would be even if we weren’t playing moneyball

This turned out to be a saga. A saga with little or no winners.

We don't know whether Conor wants Atletico or not. That might be never answered. He had 3 offers from Chelsea and he rejected them all.

Someone said swap deals are difficult. He was right. 🤣

Frankly I'm amazed the SDs are still employed. They must have a really weird set of KPIs if BlueCo think they are doing a good job !

They seem to be the champions of mediocrity ... which is probably why Conor doesn't "fit". He did his job too well last season LOL

That is it, imagine Athletico M not really wanting a Chelsea and England midfielder, he's not good enough for us, certainly not to start, suppose he could be brought on when we're leading matches. He hasn't been born with flair. Sell him.

Why don’t they sell Omorodian to someone else if they need the money instead of trying to flog Felix to us?

Nobody else is gullible enough to pay £35 million for a striker with 8 senior goals who has a pre-existing undisclosed injury history

sounds fishy....

What baffles me is people want to rationalise and give this clown ownership a chance. I see some posts very well written and explaining why we are naysayers and why the ownership is great but have had to do this because of the terrible previous ownership.

An ownership that gave them a peach of a pass, keeping it football, with a debt free club with a squad that in last two years had been crowned club world champions as well as European champions and 3rd in the league.

A club brimming with quality academy players and a few older heads that have now been decimated with sub-par replacements costing north of a cool billion pounds.

Oh yeah, just great ownership, we Chelsea fans are the luckiest bunch.

What an absolute shower of dung!

I guess the owners manage to drive away the passionate Chelsea fans that protested the super league plans so strongly.

How has no one gotten sacked over this? 😂

Exactly,

I do hope someone is accountable for this.

It should cost them their job.

Winstanley & Stewart come on down😂
