Not to excuse the sh*t performance but it looked like our players struggled with the combination of heat and humidity, it was especially apparent in the second half when opposition looked much more comfortable and mobile.

Still, that display was quite depressing. Unless we step up big time, Palmeiras wll wipe the floor with us come final time.

Does not help aye and will be a big advantage for the Brazilians.

It's literally his job to sort that out.

Exactly. Whatever the reasons he will have to sort it out, or he will go the same way as previous managers. The board are not going to dump all the players in favour of the manager.

We need Gallagher to play the number 8 role...no-one else is doing it...time to sell Kante too...buy Yves Bissouma from Brighton...

I like Bissouma as a player but he is currently some pretty serious charges off the field. I would go for Declan Rice instead. Somebody who actually wants to play for the club

That wasn't a pretty watch at all.  Nor a relaxing one.  I could hardly bear to watch and kept thinking about turning over to watch the House of Games.  That god it's over and we won.  But really lacklustre.  Hope we're better on Saturday!

Ahhhh back in the days when we actually exciting to watch, where you dared going for a piss in case you missed something.

Rose tinted glassed....we played some pretty insipid football under Conte.

Well at least @dkw got the match he wanted, just for 3rd place instead of the final lol.

@coco will this thread morph in to a Palmeiras one or will you risk it and make a new one? 😉

If i go and make a thread all special for the final it will only jinx us. i do have a special trick where i copy/past/edit the 2012 CL winners thread, i did it last CL final 2021, not many chelsea fans know i am solely responsible for that victory.

Mount is the next Dele Alli. Nothing to offer and thinks he's God.

This is my issue with him. He thinks he is all that when he really should keep the knuckles down and keep doing what he was previously doing, albeit with a little less pomposity.

That 'some' is still streets ahead of what we've been watching of late. Absolute shower of sh*te.

When the official site has been showing older videos in their posts, I have to double check the shirts to see if its actually Chelsea.

After all this time I’m still not sure what to think about Havertz, what is he exactly.

Havertz is a bit of a conundrum. On his day, looks the classiest player in the squad. But sometimes he just strolls through games and other times, worse still, he has the "can't be arsed" look about him. Reminds me a lot of his countryman Ozil, who too was a class player but all too often failed to turn up and in the end the supporters turned on him.

The clock is ticking Kai - time to roll those sleaves up and put a bit more effort in and prove you are the real deal.

When things go wrong our football becomes stale and boring. Seems to be the same under every manager. Jose, Sarri, RDM, Conte, TT. Probably only Carlo was it less so.

If he looks like the classiest player on his day well I've seen no more than 5 of them since he joined the club. Offensively I cannot pick out a single thing he is really good at. A Kalou/Oscar player and not in the class of Hazard, Mata or even Ballack.

Not great, but we're there.

Whether it was the conditions, motivation, missing the boss or a combination of all three is open to debate. If we were going to have a bad match, this was the one to have it.

Anyway, massive game in the club's history this Saturday!
