Rubbish for like 65 minutes, but job done and another final to look forward to.

Viera made a crucial mistake by taking off Mateta who was torturing Jorgi by breathing on his neck all day long. since then Jorgi had all the space in the world. imo.

Third final on the trot

Leggy performance after the efforts of Tuesday

Second half better

Two quality goals

Lukaku is good at putting his thumb up if nothing else

And also pointing to where he wants the ball or where he wants his team mates to press because he is lazy

Well played, i picked Werner for MOTM, before he even set Mount up, bit of a below par performance, Bring on the Dippers........

Still nowhere near being convinced by him myself. Yes, he made runs and our midfield generally ignored them, and he passed to Mount for his goal, but when he got space at the end he messed up twice. I watched Luis Diaz for Liverpool yesterday and other games this season and already he looks twice the player Werner does.

Rubbish, on his Assists alone he's better, but agree he aint clinical enough, which is usually what Salah is....

Diaz is new to this league and is already looking some player. Often cutting in from out wide like Werner but is technically much, much better in terms of touch / control and can dribble with the ball.

Don’t know what you’re on about but Brighton just went 1-0 up against the spuds, last few minutes too.

Awfully boring first half and you could see that Palace was not scoring, they didn’t troubled us other than at the end of the half with great save by Mendy. Second half we went into fourth gear and that showed, we were the better team and deserved it more than them. Overall, great day out with the beers pre-match and the football quality could have been better, but on we go to a another final.

Well we badly needed that to give us something to focus on and something left to achieve this season.

I don't see us beating pool. Even though they are the better side and have been for a few seasons we were still better than them 3 times and on each occasion the ref qent out of his way with one blatantly bad call that made all the difference and stopped us winning.

So even if we are better than them again we won't be allowed to win, and if we are not better than them we get hit hard like City did in the opening half yesterday.

Still thats for another day. Really happy for RLC to get a goal. Mount is really coming along this season, 15 goals and 11 assists now I think. Big season for him.

I don’t see why you can say that they are the better side but then go on to say that we’ve been better than them 3 times this season. We have been better than them in most games we’ve played for a couple of seasons now. They’ve only got points and the league cup thanks to the refereeing being atrociously biased. In fact, I’d say that they are only fighting City for the PL because of all the favours that the referees give them, if it wasn’t for that, they’d have at least 3-4 points less and would be fighting us for the second place.

League table and that they are still in the CL says they are the better side.

Palace took 4 points off City this season. Does not make them the better side they were just better than them in 2 games

Thought we would win 2-0 before the match yet missed the first 20 mins and then for the rest of the half convinced myself without a massive improvement we were going out.

It seemed to get worse with Kova getting injured and Havertz getting a card for a probable dive when no-one these days gets carded for it.

We were better in the 2nd and scored two good goals.

Havertz's dribbling on the right and attempted cross gets deflected into the path of RLC who delivers a cracking shot into the net.  Some time since he has scored for us and probably his best goal to date.

Werner was trying hard and nice to see him get the assist for the next goal where Mount intercepted the ball and angled this as a forward pass that he pokes home expertly to give us the 2-0 lead.

Yes we could have had more if Lukaku or Ziyech had been more clinical and Palace could have had one too.

Werner MOTM - surprising.

A good day all around:

  • A Chelsea Men's Day 2-0
  • A Chelses Women's days 2-0
  • And a blue day north of the border as Rangers knock out Celtic.
