Our club culture predates the last 19 years

current club culture under roman and im not old enough to have seen the less glittery years. fair enough if some old timers who have been around are more calm about things.

That's a losers mentality. We are not arsenal

I saw us lose 1 - 4 to Oxford. Still cheered to the rafters along with the rest of the Shed End.

Question has to asked , why didn’t we go for the throat in extra time? We had a stronger attacking bench. Sometimes the fear of losing overtakes the challenge of winning. All in all though we have matched Liverpool this season when we’ve met them, bar the first 15 today and the first 30 at the Bridge. Disappointing to have not got a trophy.

Not calm. Gutted but proud of the efforts our players

Once again. all that effort for nothing.

Too many "almost" players in that team. When you need an extra bit of quality and cool head to take chances, they fail. When you need mental strength to hold the nerve and win on pens, they fail again.

We used to have mentality monsters back in the day. One way or the other, they'd get the job done. This lot, both mentally and as footballers aren't there yet and some never will be. So many lost finals in such a short period of time, it's not a coincidence.

This f**king season can't end soon enough.

Sure, you convince yourself we’re still big players. And f**k of you nonce

"Big players" lost in the league cup final, lost in the fa cup final (both on pens) top 4 almost certainly sealed, very unlucky to go out of the champions league quarter finals, what's your definition of big?

Thought Rudiger was on the beach most of the game. Normally you'd see him rallying the team, going on busting runs, putting himself about. I barely noticed he was on the pitch. Except for that time they almost scored from a counter attack whilst Rudiger was too busy helping their player up, instead of sprinting back. Heads defintely in Madrid.

Liam makes a fair point though. We do have a lot of entitled fans. The moment there is a dip in form, a missed penalty or a substitution which may or may not been the best option we get a lot of toys thrown out of the pram. I actually think if we finish third it's the very best this team could have done. We lost two cup finals on penalties which is a lottery. Yes we missed chances but so did they.

We aren't in the same league as City and Liverpool just now. We may match Liverpool over 90 minutes but week in week out we don't lay a glove on them.

I hate losing finals as much as anyone but there was no lack of effort today. Lack of effort pisses me off a lot more.

The slightly large one where our forward players can't put that round thing in the netted area. I think that's the aim.

Clearly pool has the same problem

Exactly. That's the only thing I feel I have the right to be angry about. A guy steps up to take a pen and misses should never be abused.

Same here. I couldn't believe what I was seeing at that moment.

Can toss him aside already, along with the Barca, Dortmund, Inter bound players and let us worry about our own.

I mean, I’m gutted to loose a final, that’s bad enough, but to this lot on benefits? Twice on penalties? f**k off back to your slums.
On the football matter, not sure what the f**k was Tuchel doing with his changes, really weird things. But it may have been the beer I consumed before kick off.

Unless it was like Jorginho's against West Ham!

However bad we feel about it, we still gave them a game and we were (again) the better team over 120 minutes. So I can only say Well done Chelsea! And f**k off you Liverscum twats!
