It could happen but I don't think the odds are as high due to him being a childhood Chelsea fan and idolizing Drogba.

On a semi related note it is actually nuts the pull the latter seems to have on players, thanks to him I feel we have something resembling a chance of seeing Mbappe here sometime in the future (they're friends).

Give it time.  If he continues to stay fit, hold down his place, and improve, I wouldn't be surprised if the so-called elite clubs come knocking.  Wouldn't be cheap!

For me, I'd love to see him and Badiashile at the back for years to come.

Dare I say hes probably the best CB in that list too. Upamecano, Konate and Kounde are all very overrated which only leaves Saliba as his competition, and in the u21's its common knowledge that fofana was always seen as the better CB whenever they played together

Hopefully he sits on the bench.

Terrible midfield. Wes is the best defender on that team. Him and Saliba would be a good partnership

Honestly, I find it a bit underwhelming. A lot of DMs and no one that can carry the midfield a la Enzo.

I predict they'll be pretty disjointed in the midfield as they'll use Theo and Pavard as the connectors to Giroud and Mbappe

Mbappe might love us, but his mum f**king hates us. She took our academy's rejection of Mbappe personally.

Fofana sub wasn't even the issue. Taking off two attackers for two midfielders and going 5-4-1 against the mighty Everton at the Bridge was.

There were no complaints when the same type of subs helped win the previous games tbf.

Saw plenty of complaints v Leeds and some v Leicester. Understandably so.

We did the exact same thing against Leeds and were lucky to get away with it. It's something he's done for four games in a row and by doing it we concede the initiative. So it's something he needs to stop doing.

We were by FAR the better team against Leicester after he made those subs, in fact those subs were some of the best players on the pitch.

Even when Potter is winning games some people find it hard or impossible to give him credit because he didn't get the win with the subs/formation/tactics they wanted.

If he puts his injury issues behind him then at least one of Todd and co summer calls was bang on the money. The only one.
