Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*

One thing i dont get is how the doctors get on the pitch , evaluate the player , have them warm up and then 2 minutes later the player breaks down. If anyone watched the game you would have seen Fofana jump up twice with high knees after being evaluated by the doctor.

Todd's next person to fire?

Managers dont talk like Potter did, players don't leave the pitch in tears and the stadium on crutches very often if it is not a serious injury. Big blow.

Do we have some good youth center backs we can call on that are still here?

As we know our numbers are short as we have Silva, who will need rests, Trev and Koulibaly, wiyh Cucurella and James at a desperate push.

Dave is not an option unless we face a side with forwards slower moving than Munks attempts to pick up @CaitlinCFC...

Chalobah will likely be the player that covers for Fofana in short term. Certainly in the next month or so before World Cup. I also heard there is a possibility we will get Colwill back from loan in January.

Hopefully it isn't too bad but given the physio came on, treated him and then allowed him to carry on, if it is a bad injury that's really poor from our medical team.

This actually makes me think it’s not as serious as a torn ACL. A torn ACL is quite easy for medical professionals to determine, even right there on the pitch. The knee “catches”. Hopefully it’s just a bad strain, or one of the other ligaments that have a quicker recovery time.

I can see us recalling Colwill if it is a lengthy lay off.

Sadly being realistic about this. Some doctors have said the way his knee folded inwards means his ACL is done.

At least Ben and Kurt are showing you cam come back and Wes is young. Is just sh*t after his leg break season.

Rudiger did his ACL in twice and came back a better player. I hope Fofana does too

Especially as Brighton aren't playing him much ... (12 minutes of PL action across 2 sub appearances, and 90 minutes in a league cup game against Forest Green is all he's been afforded so far)

Rajpul Brar is not a doctor, he's a social media physiotherapist.

The only way to diagnose such an injury is with an MRI. Everything else is a guess.

Amazing that people believe some muppet watching tv is able to diagnose an injury.

Best we can hope for is either bruising or a MCL strain.

Reports indicating its a sprained knee. Out for 4 weeks.

Thank god.

Almost as if it was difficult to tell what happened by watching on a tv screen.

Great news though, not ideal but it could have been much worse.
