February 1, 20242 yr Silva out of contract and wont be renewed, played a season too many for me. Fofana looks like a complete bust, realistically he probably needs a year loan of regular football to even get close to the player we thought we had bought. £80m on a centre back with 1 season under his belt. Been injured 3 times as long as he has shown potential. Disasi, squad player at best. Not great in the air, not great on the ball, not particularly quick, not a leader, not particularly strong. Just okay at a lot of things, really shouldnt have bought him, money shouldve gone on a replacement for Silva and an ideal longbterm partner for Colwill. Badiashille is a solid left centre back, in really poor form. Colwill is ahead of him for me, but I think he is good player to have. Colwill only one I can see with the potential to be part of a successful trophy winning centre back pairing. Criminally been played out of position all season by Pochettino. I think he needs a long term right sided partner, Fofana couldve been that player, but that looks seriously in doubt. We have been linked with diomande, Todibo, and Silva, so looks like the club can see the issues too.
February 1, 20242 yr Badiashile has gone from being our best CB to worst. Not sure if the hamstring injury or Poch.
February 5, 20242 yr So much for the horsesh*t news he’d be back February. Not that it’d even matter.

Yeah we were told at the time he was out for the season, not sure why news popped up about February. He had the same injury as Broja, and he could not return to play for 11 months.
February 6, 20242 yr He was never going to return in February. People saw him return to training and assumed he would be back in a month or two, that was never going to happen. It was individual training, the basic phase of ACL recovery. The most he probably was doing at the time was running in a straight line.
February 6, 20242 yr I guess having a double leg break followed later by an ACL is more complicated than just an ACL.
March 1, 20242 yr I liked the player at Leicester and even the few games i saw at St Etienne, but this transfer might be the worst since the Boehly era. f**king paid 70 millions for a player who had the worst injury in the sport and wasnt even fit when we threw money at Leicester. Him Lukaku and Mudryk is 230 millions down the drain.
March 1, 20242 yr There should be a general rule, if they haven’t enacted one already, that requires a look at the previous 3 year injury track record before any purchases. Death, taxes, and a Romeo Lavia hamstring issue; the sureties of life. Fofana had missed 103 games to injury in his short career BEFORE signing for us. The best ability is availability, and this can’t keep happening.
March 2, 20242 yr What kind of medical did we do on Fofana ( not hating the guy)? it' almost as bad as the one Spurs did on Willian
June 2, 20242 yr from what I read Fofana had his cruciate surgery in November 2023. According to a single article I read there are about 200,000 anterior cruciate ligament injuries a year of those about 55% return to competitive sport but generally it takes 9 months. So if Fofana is on an average recovery path it'll be August before he can get to training.
June 2, 20242 yr If he can stay injury free once he starts training, you have to think it will take him 6 months to get back up to speed. From there we can then better evaluate if these injuries have had a lasting impact, or a great young player has a big future ahead of him. Wish him well, this one feels a big challenge.

Guys an oxygen thief and is stealing a wage Where do you even start with that comment? who do we get shot of him to? How much could we sell him for. Who’s buying a player with his injury record? Hes injured. It’s hardly his fault. He won’t be earning anything like £200 grand a week whilst being injured. The best case scenario is we get him back fit then see if he’s able to play week in week out. If he is then great but if he can’t then we can have the discussion.
June 2, 20242 yr Remember him playing for Leicester in his first season in England and he stood out as a special talent. Will the injuries have f**ked him up on a physical and / or mental level? We'll find out, but if he can get back to pre injury levels we've got ourselves a special player.

I'm struggling to think of any young centre-half, JT included, who looked as good as Fofana did at that age. A special talent indeed. He had it all IMO.

I'll wash my mouth out after saying this - Ledley King. Quick, strong, impeccable timing in the tackle, imperious in the air. Also an injury bust though...

June 3, 20242 yr Looking forward to seeing him in pre-season. I know most of the forum think he should be sent off to the glue factory but he's still young, if they've got the issue corrected properly he's our best CB.

He will need longer than that. Look at Van Dijk after his injury, took him 2 full seasons to recover, and even now I don't think he is at the same level. Also, Fofana has had 3 seasons of serious injuries. We don't even know what kind of player he is anymore.

He was absolutely amazing for Leicester and looked like a real talent. Maybe just loan him back to Leicester .. we can use him.

July 16, 20242 yr Wes instagram for calling out Enzo, who could of thought he would get racist abuse for what he did 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

July 18, 20242 yr Fofana had every right to call out the wrong actions. I'm sure Enzo is not a racist, but there needs to be additional punishment for his acts, I don't think a written apology on the same social media platform will cut it. If the club only goes that far, I wouldn't be surprised external forces will enforce even harsher punishments on him. The real racists are the ones following up with racist comments on Fofana, it's the world we live in where social media is the perfect playground for people like that.
