If CHO is used like a natural wide winger on the right he’ll have some use.

I agree he's much better on the right.  Sterling left, CHO right ... Mount in the hole ... just need someone to step up in the middle ! Great opportunity for Broja ?

He wanted the incredible China money but when that couldn't happen he was fine with staying. It was when Conte told him to f**k off that he went to Brazil on strike. I never saw the evidence but apparently he showed the text to a journalist.

Conte's biggest flaw is his emotional side, he just couldn't forgive Costa for wanting to leave in the middle of a title charge. He did well to keep a lid on it till the end of the season though.

Conte was a big part of the problem, but I don't accept that Costa wouldn't have asked to leave again even if Conte never said anything. When there were talks of him leaving after his first season with us, he would never shut down these rumours when asked about them. He returned to training overweight, clearly not ready for the new season and was awful before Mourinho was sacked. Next season, Conte arrives and Costa tells him he wants to leave for Atletico Madrid, but we refuse to sell. Half way through the same season, he asks to leave again, this time for China. If Conte hadn't got in first, I am sure Costa would have asked to leave again in the summer.

Well, a much better performance than what we've seen this pre-season but a lot of work still to do IMO.  Despite the 3 goals, it's the same sad story up front unfortunately. Some good chances created at times only to be wasted when we are going to need to be ruthless.

Well, I wait in anticipation as to see what unfolds in the transfer market over the next few weeks, as well as see who gets shipped out, with the latest rumours being Ross and Bats to Everton..no loss there.

Good work from CHO and a goal for Mount !

CHO has done well since he came on. Some decent crosses, taking on his man round the outside ... much better !

When he first broke through, I always preferred him on the left because he was trickier and he could beat players with his pace. On the right, he has always been more creative though. Since the injury, he has been a lot more predictable on the left, so maybe playing him on the right will be the way to get the best out of him now.

Played pretty well, decision making in the final 3rd, and finishing aside.

Nice cameo from Gilmour.

Still need some work to the squad, its going to be tight for top 4 this year.  Im not even going to.mention a title push, because i just dont see it happening with how chaotic its been in the last 6 months.

Ive always preferred him on the right. His crossing is his best attribute. On the left he cuts in and shoots too much, and his finishing has never been great.

I wouldn't be surprised if Simeone was talking to him throughout and Conte's text was the card he needed for force the move, can't prove it though.

Anyway he definitely had more passion and desire playing for Atletico and he still couldn't force his way into the team, we sold him at the perfect time making a decent profit.

I suspect it will initially be Kai in the middle. But if he fails to deliver, Broja ought to get his chance.

Good workout

Dominant and dangerous first 30 but then we tend to meander, dominate but lack cutting edge

Kante had a good game, Jorgi in possession too( though his lack of pace in turnover evident)

Sterling Mount and Havertz are fluid …will they score enough? Something I doubt personally

Koulibaly solid in defence

Mendy at fault for their goal

Everton first game of the season will be raucous, we will need to improve overall especially our finishing

Decent game to watch for once, feel like the american tour was a waste of a pre season

purely for marketing purpose meanwhile spuds are picking up their body parts after Conte’s torture

It's his chemistry with James that decides playing him on the right for me. One of my bog frustrations of the Lampard/Tuchel era is that partnership hasn't been built on.
