Conte is an animal, who demands huge amounts of his players and has the pedigree and playing history to speak with credibility and rip into players who are not giving their all for the shirt.  A born winner....

Tuchel has had Conte’s number in all their head to heads though, he has genuinely out-thought him as a coach, so that’s a little unfair.. considering his record against him.

The key comparison with both managers is under Tuchel we are nothing more than a cup team, capable of turning up on a bigger occasion or a derby but unable to grind through league fixtures consistently.

The guy breezed the league with Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso at fullback. TT’s spent £200M on players he selected and we’ve been embarrassed by two bottom-5 teams in a row.

We don't have the over all quality of Barca or City, why Tuchel continues to try to play that way is baffling. Very naive  IMO. Not sure he is the long term answer.

Subs - all much of a muchness, invisible,  except our super sub Puli. My particular favourite was where he was outmuscled whilst in possession in the middle of the pitch, falls over (obligatory) comes up with the ball, immediately falls over again whilst being outmuscled again and gives a free kick away. 

Manager/back room - something is very very wrong. TT a shadow of the tactician that joined us, didn't concede a goal for 50 games, unbeaten against every manager of all of Europe's elite clubs. Now we have a chocolate teapot defence, no creativity from midfield,  no movement, no yardage and effort off the ball and a forward line of weaklings that appear to have met each other for the first time on the pitch.

And don't even start me off regarding our appalling set piece deliveries.

Maybe, but also Conte didn't have as much of a challenge that season. Pep was new to the league. Klopp and Liverpool were not the beasts they were a couple seasons later. Tuchel has come to a league where City and Liverpool have been dominating, taking over a squad that wasn't built by him. He still managed to match Klopp and Pep H2H, get to two domestic finals, win a CL, and get to the QF of CL last season and had the team (who many thought wouldn't go to the Bernabeu and do much) outplaying RM and come so close to knocking them out. People have short memories when it comes to Tuchel. He also has done all that while dealing with the uncertainties over the club and losing players due to contract issues and a striker in Lukaku who downed tools and took the piss out of the club and the fans.

What I just said is what actually happen, at the very least I don't deny reality and the reality is that Tuchel did a 180 and it worked for him, whatever Lampard tried it simply didn't work and that's a fact. 

That Bella Kotchap what a player. Its a shame we would never buy a 20 year old like him and put him in the team. We would wait till he eatablishs himself them spunk 70m on him 3 years later. What do our scouts do i dont understand.

That’s what tuchel does. He’s a cup manager. He’s had peps number numerous times. Tuchel knows how to set up a team on its day for a big game. He knows how to nullify and counter a style in big games. 
 

When it comes to beating the likes of Leeds and Southampton we don’t have a distinctive way of play of breaking those teams down. We pass sideways and backwards constantly. Kick it up the line to havertz and he turns back and passes it backwards. Why is Kai even playing there, he’s not even a wide forward. We got so many players that don’t fit he system
but we’ve spent 95% of the window chasing centre backs and we’re supposedly chasing tuchel targets.

Exactly. If you include the last 10 of last season with our start to this season, we are a midtable team. So this is not a sudden change in form.

Even more worryingly most of the games we have won in the last 15 have been squeaked out too.

Lol top 4 was something lamps did with much less.. let’s talk about Jorginho how many MoMs did he get in our UCL run ..it was Kante who ran our midfield..

maybe it’s a little late so you are struggling but we were discussing Jorginho and not TT

It’s easy for a manager to jump into an underperforming team and get results. The honeymoon period happens all the time. I’ll give him his due, he made us rock solid for 5 months until we won the CL. Since then? We’ve progressively gotten worse. We concede frequently and score little. The football is awful.

Sanctions are an easy cop-out. His job is to win football matches and he’s not doing that. Competing with City and Liverpool is great but losing to relegation candidates on a weekly basis is unacceptable.

That is very true. I’m struggling to remember the the last time I really enjoyed watching us play for two consecutive matches. Even beyond the poor results, the football itself is largely difficult to watch.
