I, for one, can't wait to see Gusto putting in an inch perfect cross only for Havertz to mistime his header multiple times a game.

He has 18months left and Lyon get zip all if they hold on to him.

Runours popping up United want him and would let him stay there until the summer, probably made by Lyon as it suits them.

Ideally he comes now but that is up to our negotiation team. If he stays there then we are essentially buying him with a year left on his deal, so the price should reflect that.

Feel like this one gets done for around £30m maybe £40m with add ons as I mentioned yesterday. Lyon were hoping we could loan him back to them until the summer, but that doesn't help us right now. 

Being reported we won't entertain this and only want an outright purchase with him joining up in the winter window.

Lyon apparently looking at a replacement RBs, supposedly the main target is a player Arsenal are monitoring, and they will look to pip them for him (which is all the better for us).

Yeah Lyon arranging cover could be the hold up and we are in no rush with a free weekend. I reckon you are right and the basics of the deal is agreed already.

Apparently somewhere in the French media he has been said to have told Lyon he is going to join us and wont accept any contract offer from them or anyone else.

Ironically, Lamptey is being linked with going to Lyon as possible replacement for Gusto if he comes to us. Ironic as Lamptey is a player who came through our academy and had many fans questioning why we let him go as he was a real livewire when he burst on to scene for Brighton. This season, I think he has managed 1 league start which is really strange. Seemed to have fallen out of favour under Potter and now Zerbi too.

It's not the whole truth to say that we let Tariq go. He refused to extend and gave us no choice.

Yes, exactly. It would irritate me when pundits alike and our own fans criticised us for letting him go when they did not comprehend he had half a year left on his contract. We would have lost him on a free. We played Brighton last season and both games was 1-1. In both games, all commentators kept saying was "how Chelsea must regret selling him". Just utter tosh. Ironically now, he probably would have got more chances here if he stayed.

Aulas doesn’t do mind games. If he says the deal is off, it just won’t happen. Better to sign Gausto now, and loan him back to them.

Could be wrong but I'm fairly certain he said Bruno Guimaraes to Newcastle wasn't happening days before it actually did.

It's a bit gutting that we can't have him this season given James' injury issues 

Massive signing. Given James's durability, this was necessary. We really are building something here. 

Hopefully we do a similar thing with Enzo.
