Welcome home Super Frank

Featured Replies

Personally, I dont really care if the appointment of Frank works out from a footballing perspective. The season is already done. Of course, it would be magic if he wins the champions league, but I dont see that happening.

I am however absolutely thrilled that Frank will have an opportunity for a proper farewell tour. He deserves a rocking Stamford Bridge, and the adulation that comes with it.

Welcome home Sir Frankie Lampard. Lets get the place rocking again.

Defense was actually reasonably okay for the standards of a Frank managed team after Silva and Mendy arrived, it was going forward where the big struggle was in the end.

We struggled at the basic elements of build up play and the times we did manage to stumble our way into dangerous situations our only answer was to get it out to James, Ziyech, Callum or Chilwell and throw it into the mixer, it was utterly excruciating.

Why does JT as defensive coach keep getting banded about? He oversaw the worst defense in the league at Villa and has admitted himself he isn't at the required level as a coach.

Not what I remember, but ok, still the same problem under Frank, Thomas, and Graham then ? ...... so is there a better manager out there than these three ?

I remember that defensive was the issue, can't be bothered to check back and apologies if I am wrong.

JT has said the only this week it is the only managerial role he would take is Chelsea. Never has a player bled blue more than him,  so I don't really care what he has done elsewhere. we need passion for the club at the moment

Probably as good an interim appointment as we could get in the circumstances,

Fingers crossed he can deliver the Champions League, A huge ask, but why not ? Hopefully we can see a  lot more goals and some better results in the last 11-14 games for the season, so we can at least go into next season with a bit of confidence and swagger.

Big plus is he already knows 13 of our current squad of 32. No doubt watched enough of the rest to have an opinion on them as well.

Good luck Frank !

Who scores the first goal from a set piece against us?

Who scores the first screamer against us?

The suspense.

Don't have to go back far, McGinn technically did both at the same time.

Imagine telling someone a week ago that Frank Lampard would be our coach again.

This is actually mad 😜

As you said, this club is mental. Sometimes in a way that makes you tear your hair out, but now (for me anyway) in a way that makes me happy despite the possible pitfalls!

Hopefully he partners Fofana & Badishile in defence, previously he had Rudiger and Christensen (who at that time both made lots of errors).

Kepa is also revitalised, so it will be interesting how we progress and hopefully save something from this season.

Just please for the good of the club drop Havertz, Mount needs another shot. Drop Kovacic as well.

It was well documented at the time the massive difference Silva and Edou were making, those two tightening things up at the back is the reason Frank wasn't sacked sooner.

JT may bleed Blue but he was here as a player the last time we had a season like this so hoping his passion alone will help will fix things is wishful thinking. We also have one of the greatest leaders of recent times in this squad and he hasn't managed to prevent this.

We do need commitment but we also need them to be elite in their field if we're going to fix this.

Vibes.

The return of the two attacking #8s.

Mendy

James Silva Koulibaly Chilwell

Kante

Gallagher Mount

Sterling                      Pulisic

Havertz

That line-up would concede 3+ goals on average per game

That would certainly be a brave line up ... not sure many people would bench Fernandez LOL
