April 6, 20233 yr Personally, I dont really care if the appointment of Frank works out from a footballing perspective. The season is already done. Of course, it would be magic if he wins the champions league, but I dont see that happening. I am however absolutely thrilled that Frank will have an opportunity for a proper farewell tour. He deserves a rocking Stamford Bridge, and the adulation that comes with it. Welcome home Sir Frankie Lampard. Lets get the place rocking again.

We struggled at the basic elements of build up play and the times we did manage to stumble our way into dangerous situations our only answer was to get it out to James, Ziyech, Callum or Chilwell and throw it into the mixer, it was utterly excruciating. Why does JT as defensive coach keep getting banded about? He oversaw the worst defense in the league at Villa and has admitted himself he isn't at the required level as a coach. Not what I remember, but ok, still the same problem under Frank, Thomas, and Graham then ? ...... so is there a better manager out there than these three ? I remember that defensive was the issue, can't be bothered to check back and apologies if I am wrong. JT has said the only this week it is the only managerial role he would take is Chelsea. Never has a player bled blue more than him, so I don't really care what he has done elsewhere. we need passion for the club at the moment
April 6, 20233 yr This club is actually mental. This is such an unexpected and left field appointment even in these circumstances. I wish Frank well. At least he'll unify the club and the supporter base.
April 6, 20233 yr I like the fact that we’ll get to properly farewell him which is something we were denied back in 2021.
April 6, 20233 yr Probably as good an interim appointment as we could get in the circumstances, Fingers crossed he can deliver the Champions League, A huge ask, but why not ? Hopefully we can see a lot more goals and some better results in the last 11-14 games for the season, so we can at least go into next season with a bit of confidence and swagger. Big plus is he already knows 13 of our current squad of 32. No doubt watched enough of the rest to have an opinion on them as well. Good luck Frank !
April 6, 20233 yr Who scores the first goal from a set piece against us? Who scores the first screamer against us? The suspense.
April 6, 20233 yr Imagine telling someone a week ago that Frank Lampard would be our coach again. This is actually mad 😜
April 6, 20233 yr 11/10 for his press conference so far ... wouldn't have expected anything less to be honest 🙂

Sometimes in a way that makes you tear your hair out, but now (for me anyway) in a way that makes me happy despite the possible pitfalls!
April 6, 20233 yr I've got to admit, seeing him and hearing him in that seat,Sent a shiver down my spine,no matter what he did previously I'm 100% behind him and hope he makes those who don't want him here eat their words.
April 6, 20233 yr Hopefully he partners Fofana & Badishile in defence, previously he had Rudiger and Christensen (who at that time both made lots of errors). Kepa is also revitalised, so it will be interesting how we progress and hopefully save something from this season. Just please for the good of the club drop Havertz, Mount needs another shot. Drop Kovacic as well. Edited April 6, 20233 yr by Malcolm9
April 6, 20233 yr Vibes. The return of the two attacking #8s. Mendy James Silva Koulibaly Chilwell Kante Gallagher Mount Sterling Pulisic Havertz

JT may bleed Blue but he was here as a player the last time we had a season like this so hoping his passion alone will help will fix things is wishful thinking. We also have one of the greatest leaders of recent times in this squad and he hasn't managed to prevent this. We do need commitment but we also need them to be elite in their field if we're going to fix this. Edited April 6, 20233 yr by Argo

April 6, 20233 yr 2 mediocre players in Gallagher and Mount will now start every game. Let's get ready for a relegation battle. Edited April 6, 20233 yr by I am a CPA
