So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!

We have so many attackers, and like most forward players, they need game time.

Palmer looked good when he came on, playing with his head up, because he hasn't yet had time to be scared.  The other younger attackers are almost hiding, and I can somewhat understand why their confidence must be so low when Poch is picking out of position defenders or midfielders over their natural ability.

Some serious regression these past few weeks, ultimately from some bad decision making from Poch.

West Ham were mitigating circumstances but today was unacceptable.

Makes the next few games even more crucial, luckily Bouremouth and Burnley will come out at us and play open even if they god for bid score first, so absolutely must take full advantage.

Elephant in the room here but out of position or not Chilwell is starting to display some of the traits that made me sceptical about signing him in the first place.

Think his injuries have made him worse as a player, we need to give Maatsen more game time from now on

Pretty hard to defend when you see the impact, Howe, De Zerbi, and Emery made taking over mid season.

In all honesty though midfield apart, I think the squad is weaker than it's been for years. Spent a billion pounds to move backwards 2 steps, in the hope that eventually we move forward 5.

I think there is a lot of people trying to convince themselves that what we have bought is better than what has left, but I'd still take players like Pulisic, Havertz, and Mount over the signings we have now.

Pochettino needs to just be brave and role with the kids, cut this talk of winning trophies, let's see if we can start winning back to back games 1st.

Was reading the Brighton forum (have a bet on the Newcastle game), and they're currently laughing at us for selling them Billy Gilmour for just 9 million.

It will sound like hyperbole but things are so bad that I wouldn't rule out relegation if we get hit with another couple of injuries and morale/confidence continues to drop.
Quick look at the next 10-15 fixtures and you realize we may potentially lose all of them. We likely won't of course but younger heads will drop quicker than more experienced heads and if the struggle fest continues? All bets are off for me.

How many points have we accumulated over the last 38 games? I don't think we are a lot above 40 points.

For me we look like a mid-table team at best.

Yup would have loved to Sarri with this group, he didn't lose to bottom half teams

We were smashed 4-0 by Bournemouth with Sarri as manager. Hazard was the reason why that season wasn't a complete flop, make no mistake about that. Without him, we would have been lucky to finish in the top 10.

Sarri is resposible for the dogsh*t brand of football that still stinks up the place today. His brand of football was awful.

Sarri's responsible for the football we play 5 managers and 6 seasons later? Bit harsh

Partly, yes. He brought a brand of football to the club that coaches still haven't managed to remove from the club today. The way we pass out of the back is no different to when Sarri was here. The way we piss about with the ball going nowhere is the same as Sarri's brand of football. We went through periods under Lampard and Tuchel where it looked like we had gotten past it, but when things go bad, we always go back to his style of football.

Poch will be sacked at November

we got the easiest fixture so far and only had 4 point out of 12, when we get to the tough run facing City, Spurs, United Newcastle etc we will just lose all of them and in a relegation fight

Please Todd Boehly can you just leave....

I dont fault the board for not spending big on a striker considering our poor record on signing strikers over the past five seasons. And if we are being honest, there really aren't that many strikers out there. Its probably better to hope Jackson and/or Broja come good and Nkunku stays fit. Missing out on Haaland though is probably going to haunt us for the next decade.

It is not st specifically. You need player who can be the difference maker. Final ball, final touch.

Missing on Haaland? Imagine Haaland playing as false 9 for TT. It would have been hilarious

Tuchel had more of a long lasting affect on this team than Sarri imo.

sh*t happens these are new players with a new manager outside of Silva, Sterling, Chilwell, Conor and Enzo everyone else is new.

Did people think they would just click and roll teams over. I don’t expect to see any progress in consistency until second half of the season. We will be up and down for most of the first half of the season.

Dont let football ruin your weekends I have stopped letting Chelsea ruin my days now as I expected nothing so if we win great if we lose I expected that.

Play boring, negative football then you have to win.

You play that way and you end up losing, dropping down the table, taking the chance of CL money away, and you go the way of Potter.

Pochettino has been a major disappointment so far, his selection is one of fear so far.

How embarrasing is it that we've bought their manager, recruitment team, goalkeeper, leftback, midfielder for £200 million yet Brighton are so much better than us it isn't even funny.

No wonder we have become a complete laughing stock. Had Boehly bought Liverpool and done the same thing we'd all be laughing our asses off too.

Has @TimesUpPochettino been on yet?

Oh christ i can't believe people are actually now letting poch out pass their lips ffs. I always wanted Luis Enrique, but even I don't agree that Poch is poor.

He's a good coach and he's come into a new environment along with the players and it's unfortunately going to take some time with this almost brand new team and system to reap results.

Enigma stepping in with some much needed common sense. Spot on fella. But as my dear old Mum used to say " common sense isn't usually that common".

Early days. Actually for me the worst thing about all this at the moment,  is I am diving into bushes, ducking under parked cars, and darting into shops I don't need anything from to avoid the hoardes of celebrating brain-dead zombies wearing Tottenham shirts.

I Don't See How You Go From What Worked In Pre Season To Then Playing A Different Way Entirely, If He'd Played Like This In Pre Season Then I Could See But To Abandon What Happened In Pre Season Is Strange

Granted I Know It Was Pre Season But If That's How You Are Setting Up A Lot In Training And Games To Then Change As Soon As The Season Starts Is Strange

Please don’t give Pochettino the ol ‘Tin Tack’ talk, but he gets not an iota of praise, he set this team up to play this dross, just watched Brighton destroy Newcastle with fast attacking skilful play, oh and they have another teen gem on their hands, we have a young Raw striker, and Zero backup ( Well Borja is not ready yet)…..

I am largely the same now. If I am unable to watch the games I try not to bother looking at the score as I pretty much know what's going to happen.

This long term project and progression is so much better than the awful old Abramovich way of 20 years of continued success, trophies and challenging for titles. In maybe 5, 6 or 7 years we could possibly be back to where we were and wow watch us go then

I think he's mostly changing the formation because of the attacking injuries we have compared to other areas of the pitch, at least I hope that's the reason.
