December 16, 20232 yr I guess Nico will be celebrating his goal this afternoon by blowing this week's wages on Only Fans tonight LOL
December 16, 20232 yr A goal every other start. If he’s scoring but isn’t contributing much then I’ll take it at this point. The criticism on him is far, far too harsh. He’s as good as I expected him to be.

Quite amusing that he now has as many PL goals this season as Jesus, Havertz and Martinelli combined ... just in case anyone needs some ammo to troll a few Gooner mates this weekend LOL
December 16, 20232 yr I still think his actual performances are not good enough but can't argue with the goals, if he gets double digits then it's a solid first season given our striker history.
December 16, 20232 yr It's such a weird one, because he's pissing me off a lot yet 7 goals in 16 games is not bad at all. Excellent actually when you consider our striker history, it's only December, Lukaku scored 8 in his first season back here, so he's just one off him already. His decision making and general footballing ability has been piss poor for the past few months. When he first joined he looked really good, watch our first few games and he could actually control a ball and play with his back to goal now he's turned into Lukaku.. So sometimes I can't help but feel like he's not putting in the effort as he should be.

I think some of his worst performances have been games where he has scored. But in other games where he has failed to find the net his link-up play has been better. I know he can be very frustrating at times but I don't think he would have been expected to have started so many games had we not had so many out injured. Considering his inexperience I think he has done ok overall.
December 16, 20232 yr He's got 7 goals which is decent, but he could have had about 20 if he'd have scored the very easy chances with which he's been presented. That sums him up really. I reckon he's a good signing and he'll be a very good player for us over the year. I just don't think he's a number 9.
December 16, 20232 yr 7 goals in 16 games looks good on paper but it's similar to seeing a team have 70% position and just presuming they was dominant. Once you look at the details you get more information, the hatrick against 9 man high line Spurs screws those stats, goals against Luton, Shef Utd and Burnley is about Jacksons level. Once you watch Chelsea games you can see Jackson isn't good enough, his all round play is poor, offside and bad passes. Sometimes he does good things but the final part generally let's him down. His a good squad player or impact sub but he won't win you games on his own.

He may be more of a 10, or even a player who could eventually play out wide.

December 16, 20232 yr I liked what I saw of him on the left. Going forward he may offer a good option there.

December 17, 20232 yr Still learning his trade.. it shows that he is a converted striker.. his timing on his runs and the angle is just wrong.. this though can be fixed.. he also needs to learn to use his body better..this will improve he is often choosing the wrong finish.. this will improve. what can’t be fixed at this age his technique - his first touch is inconsistent - he has zero instinct as a striker - his shot power is low and haven’t seen him be able to place shots lets see how this pans out though.. I think he can be a decent epl striker but not elite level given his poor technique.

December 17, 20232 yr A top striker would have had us top 6 I reckon. Whoever that top striker is it isn’t Jackson yet. I like Toney and Osihmen but I’d go for Alvarez. I doubt he’ll stay at City longer term if Haaland is there.
December 17, 20232 yr Strange player , has some games where his general play is very good and others like today where it was terrible but he bags a goal. overall I think he’s doing ok , he’s not going to be a star but there’s been far worse, I feel as if it’s a good 4-5 years since we had a striker who had a strike rate like his.

England isn't a full time job surely.

Jimmy was a fantastic player - but being a striker coach to Harry Kane must be the easiest job in the world! What's he teaching him exactly? 😂

He was brought in to help develop the forward players. That said he could be a blind, one legged gimp and he'd still be better than the clowns we have coaching.
