Frankly, i am not overly fussed about thsi not happening. I am sure teh attraction was teh PL experience and teh cheap price tag becuase there is not a lot else to support this move.  I never really thought that this guy would offer a great deal differen than Madueke.

If we went after Kudus, i could understand that as well becuase i think he is a bit more versatile. I quite like Brennan Johnson but if it is Nkunku cover and possible Jackson cover, then i would have thought Morgan Gibbs White would have fit the profile a bit better than Johnson.

Oh christ, i hope its not the former, with us going stupidly over the top. He would add soemthign different to us, but he is nowhere near the finished article.........and apparently is another diva as well.

Nope not good enough & a few levels below Olise, who is an upgrade on Madueke. 

He's a good player so it's a shame, but if we're going for someone else it would be nice to have a player that's a proven goalscorer, Olise's record was pretty poor.

Hopefully we go and get Kudus now.

He still has a release clause which has only gotten up. 

If it isn't by that much we may very well be back in for him next summer (assuming we've already agreed personal terms and he does in fact want to come to Chelsea).

Why would he sign a deal if he wanted to come.. clearly saw his game time limited with Madueke and Sterling and the Brazilians.

Hadn't he already agreed personal terms though? Deal collapsed because Palace are snitches and were going to report the club to the tribunal for tapping up. 

He probably got a pay bump ontop of that extension in the meantime. At least unlike Caicedo, Olise is smart enough to include another release clause. 

Good luck to him. He will get more playing time there at Palace. . . once he is fit and back from injury.

why cant we just give angelo gabriel a chance. He looks perfect for the role sterling played against liverpool. His dribbling, creativity and endproduct are top class.

Sounds like we have been caught out doing something a little fishy, so weve had to step away. Gutted, aside really rate Olise, and I imagine his release clause will be double now at least.

Really hoping we get Cherki or Kudus done now. Not a fan of Johnson at all, MGW is a better player, and I wouldnt want him either.

Zaha was the top earner and frees up wages when he left. I think there is a good chance Palace offered him good money to stay.

I think they were paying Zaha £200k PW so they'll have used some of that to sweeten the deal.

I read that we backed off because they were threatening to report us for tapping him up. He wouldn’t have gotten that amount of money with us (if we still follow the new wage structure)

Comma's are great...

Very happy about this, for multiple reasons. The main reason is that I don't rate him that highly, the other one being he is injured and hasn't even had a pre season. The last thing we need is another sick note.
