October 7, 20232 yr Already an integral part of our team and he is going to get so much better with consistent game time.
October 7, 20232 yr I’ve no doubts about him at all. He’s going to be a very important player for us.

Hopefully this means we're looking at Palmer & Madueke competing on the right, with Sterling and Mudryk competing on the left. We really should be. Inverted wingers coming in on their stronger foot is a big help. Plus Sterling is a much better left winger than he is right winger imo

They don't fear selling players who want to leave to anyone else in the league or Europe. Edited October 8, 20232 yr by axman2526

October 8, 20232 yr Really like him. We need someone with a little more quality and precision in the final third, and he is very good at that. Excellent nerve on the pen also.
October 9, 20232 yr I would like him to be a bit more direct like Sterling with his runs but that's the only small criticism I have.

October 13, 20232 yr Lee Carsley has apparently said it is a 'dead leg' and just a few bumps and bruises which hopefully mean it is good news. Also said he will monitor him in regards to their next game, so hopefully no damage and he is fine for weekend.

Yeah, also said he would take no risk with him so probably will sit England's second match out.
October 13, 20232 yr "Cole Palmer is a good link player and links with all his teammates. We are giving him a starting position on the right to play in between the lines because he is ready to be unpredictable. 😁😁
October 13, 20232 yr It makes sense personnel wise too. Sterling/Mudryk - LW Nkunku/Gallagher/Carney - CAM Palmer/Madueke - RW Enzo/Caicedo/Lesley/Lavia - LCM/RCM

October 14, 20232 yr It is frustrating in the modern game but you have to remember back in the day pain killing jabs and cortisone injections were good at keeping players playing but shortened their careers and damaged them long term. With the price of players you are never going to see corners cut like before
October 15, 20232 yr I don’t think Palmer has the pace to play as an out and out winger. But hopefully I’ll be proved wrong

They possibly don't, it's just they are looked after much better and allowed to miss games. Back in the day players of most sports just played with these injuries, taped/strapped up, injected and just got on with it, they had to so they got paid. My mates just been in hospital for a knee op, he played pro Rugby League and his knees and shoulders are destroyed. He spent 3 years playing on cortisone injections, it was a pretty normal thing to do.

Back when I was much much younger Tommy Raudonikis playing for Newtown at the time was not even sent off for biting off half an opponents ear.

He was an animal, it was pretty much just a battle in his day. I played local level, was OK but never anything special. Playef as full back or centre, preferably full back as I could keep out the way of the big angry bastards..
