We definitely look more balance with this guy on the right. When James is back and fit, we'll be looking even better. Hopefully this means we're looking at Palmer & Madueke competing on the right, with Sterling and Mudryk competing on the left.

We really should be. Inverted wingers coming in on their stronger foot is a big help.

Plus Sterling is a much better left winger than he is right winger imo

Honestly have no idea why Man City even sold him to us, we've robbed them here

They sold finished articles to Arsenal, a more direct rival at the moment. They don't fear selling players who want to leave to anyone else in the league or Europe.

Because, unluckily for him, he was competing with the likes of Silva, Foden, Grealish, et al. He was a Cups player. He wanted more.

Off injured for England u21 vs Serbia u21...

Atleast it was an important game with a 9-1 scoreline.  Just can't catch a break.

Lee Carsley has apparently said it is a 'dead leg' and just a few bumps and bruises which hopefully mean it is good news. Also said he will monitor him in regards to their next game, so hopefully no damage and he is fine for weekend.

Yeah, also said he would take no risk with him so probably will sit England's second match out.

"Cole Palmer is a good link player and links with all his teammates. We are giving him a starting position on the right to play in between the lines because he is ready to be unpredictable.

😁😁

It makes sense personnel wise too.

Sterling/Mudryk - LW

Nkunku/Gallagher/Carney - CAM

Palmer/Madueke - RW

Enzo/Caicedo/Lesley/Lavia - LCM/RCM

Looking at that I genuinely see Gallagher getting sold in the summer

anything new regarding his  bloody injury?

It really beggars belief our injury woe, is it the woosie modern day footballer, the training, the facilities, the medical set up, bad luck, a curse , black magic or what. Ffs.

It is frustrating in the modern game but you have to remember back in the day pain killing jabs and cortisone injections were good at keeping players playing but shortened their careers and damaged them long term.
With the price of players you are never going to see corners cut like before

This is what a lot of people don't understand when they say modern footballers get more injuries. They possibly don't, it's just they are looked after much better and allowed to miss games. Back in the day players of most sports just played with these injuries, taped/strapped up, injected and just got on with it, they had to so they got paid.

My mates just been in hospital for a knee op, he played pro Rugby League and his knees and shoulders are destroyed. He spent 3 years playing on cortisone injections, it was a pretty normal thing to do.

Pro rugby league is a hard game. Back when I was much much  younger Tommy Raudonikis playing for Newtown at the time was not even sent off for biting off half an opponents ear.

He was an animal, it was pretty much just a battle in his day.

I played local level, was OK but never anything special. Playef as full back or centre, preferably full back as I could keep out the way of the big angry bastards..
