No idea what to make of that statement He also said he fits his system. Signing (and selling) players at the whims of a managers wishes is so outdated.

We managed to flip Morata for a profit despite his terrible form for us. We're generally pretty good at selling players, it's the buying where we tend to get it wrong.
September 1, 20232 yr saw this posted by a City fan on the BBC website - let's hope he's right The money is good - £45m for a player who has only played a handful of games is good business, whichever way you paint it. That net-spend trophy is big news in 2023, I hear. I still cannot shake the feeling that Chelsea have signed a brilliant footballer however. Elegant and slight, he has a wonderful ability to glide past people as gently as the breeze on a sunny day. He has magic in those boots. He will score goals and he will create chances.

Oscar for 60 mil and Ramires for 40 mil was top business back then. Would even be good now. We also got a nice fee for Luiz from PSG. Guehi, Tomori, Abraham all left for good money. And those are just off the top of my head. Marina was pretty good at selling players!

September 1, 20232 yr How many midfielders though, I can see Mudryk being sold ASAP, Palmer, Sterling, Nkunku, that’s pretty impressive, hope he plays in the pocket, With Sterling wide right,

He’s an absolutely shocking footballer and with his transfer fee and decent salary, nobody in their right mind will entertain it. The hype around Palmer would make you think he’s a nailed on first eleverner, but my money is on him getting splinters off the bench. But at least his hype has some credibility, unlike Mudryk. He’s not far off that infamous Souness signing at Southampton of George Weah’s cousin Ali Dia.

September 2, 20232 yr Given the injuries we needed another attacking player particularly as there is no certainty around muddy yet. So well done chelsea management. Pretty good squad now. Let’s go get ‘em

Didn’t Ascerbi label him as one of the best young players in the world.. I think he has a good talent Id.

At 20 Bale was a failed full back who only got into the team due to injuries, he was on the verge of being sold/loaned. He ended up on the wing after someone else got injured and he flourished. Football really is right place, right time sometimes. Didn't he lose like 20 games on the trot for spurs?
September 2, 20232 yr City fan here, and not posted on here for 9 years I think. Just wanted to say a load of us on bluemoon are absolutely gutted to see Palmer leave, me included. Having watched him come up through the academy, he's an incredible talent and IMO will go on to be world class and better than Foden. The lad can do everything and although it didn't really click for him last season (I think he was just trying up hard to impress) you could see he has talent to burn. This transfer will be remembered just as much, if not more than Mourinho selling KDB. In a year or so - maybe less - the media will be saying "What on earth was Pep thinking, letting Palmer go". You can bookmark this!

September 2, 20232 yr I honestly feel bad he left City signed for us. Chelsea is arguably the most dysfunctional organization in global football.
