It all starts at the training ground and there instead of preparing our players we're injuring them and Villa looks more fresh while playing in Europe.

 

This is a team of kids, lets be honest, theyre all kids. Its not their fault. The average age of teams winning the PL historically has been around 27 and ours is around 22.

Boehlys idea to create a team of young high potential players will never work for three reasons…1. the majority of players with high potential wont and dont amount to anything 2. The tried and tested model is to blood in a few youngsters every year, like Man City, Liverpool, Barca, Real Madrid etc. not the whole squad. 3. If you concede you wont win anything for 4-5 years, you lose out on champions league football, revenue, reputation and no player wants to play for you.

Boehly is the worst thing that could have ever happened to this club.

What a depressing time to be a Chelsea fan. We were on a high 2 seasons ago, now this. How we cannot score a goal is beyond me. It's utterly unfathomable. I think I'm not going to bother with football from here on. Football is not an enjoyable sport when we aren't winning. I can't be dealing with the added stress of matchdays tbh.

It feels like the soul has been sucked from our club with a gypsy curse dumped on us for good measure. Doesn't feel like our Chelsea anymore. Such huge changes can never expect to work, it's beyond comprehension really considering what we won 2 or 3 seasons ago, but we also seem to have the worst luck ever with injuries, wasted chances, and VAR decisions. 😫

The little bits I've seen of Cole Palmer, he can actually glide with the ball, which are the basics of a good CAM. Gallagher can't do that, he plays like a defender up front.

Jose would ship out most of these players in January but Poch will accept the bullsh*t from the owners finish 14th and take the blame with no argument which is why he was hired.

No elite coach would go near this "project" 

i dont undestand 2 things . 1. what makes you think poch didnt have a say in selection of players to buy and when we started in january changing squad (which had to happen) did you think we would turn it around in a season?

Poch himself said he had no say in recruitment.

He asked for experienced quality and then later said he didn't know of any of the kids we signed and that he wasn't asked or involved in signing Palmer.

It's not about this season,  very few of the rubbish young players we've signed have the talent to ever play for a top half club they're complete deadwood that would have never been signed if we didn't have an owner thinking he could play football manager

Actually thought this would have been the perfect game to start but instead we get gallagher for a full 90 mins

This club is broken and scary thing is I’m not even surprised by the result.

I’m actually frightened of how low we can go. I was hoping last season was rock bottom as we were adjusting to a new ownership and turnover of the squad.

The fabric of the club has been ripped apart ever since Roman was forced to sell the club.

at least being in the relegation battle will add some excitement to the season - better that than safe, mid-table, mediocrity

Have to say I’ve really tuned out this season - focusing on other stuff more including other sports. I think too many are expecting a return to normal. We’re in the early stages of a more drawn out period in the wilderness, and I see a decent chance it ends with a forced sale by current owners. 

James, Badiashile, Lavia, Chukwuemeka and Nkunku will help turn our season round when they are back from injury.

I think we've played OK today. We just need to be patient. It will come ... 

Even with that lot all missing, we've more of less matched Villa today, and Villa are 3rd behind City and Arsenal in the last calendar year.
