I don't see anything wrong with what he said. If any of these young players step up to a high level, most obvious ones being Enzo and Colwill, why would they stick around in a team that could potentially get relegated this season? We won't get top 4 this season, that's for sure, and if we do survive, why would we make it next season? These players won't want to wait around, they will be putting in transfer requests.

well he said all of the young players wont be here when we compete for top4 . guaranteed.really.

listen its simple either be realistic and see this is  long term plan after last 3/4 seasons we had, and wont be fixed in 1/2 seasons or be pissed off totally for next 1/2 seasons

it might take a dip into the Championship - that's where we are headed if we can't turn it around

Football careers are short, they will want to be playing Champions League football by the end of next season. If they're not, then they will ask to leave.

It was clear in the summer the result of our strategy.  It's going to end the same way it did when the last 7500 clubs tried it though they all spent much less money and generally did it because they couldn't afford actual quality.

When you only buy young players you will always have a bad team because young players are inconsistent and so few develop into quality.

The few that develop into quality will push their way out to big and serious clubs with competitive teams because they won't want to continue struggling with the young players that haven't made it.

The Delusion that clubs can buy a whole squad of young players and develop them into a competitive squad is absolutely hilarious.  It hurts because we got stuck with the morons who actually did it but it's still hilarious someone tried it.

Pochetino out. I said this before, they said why. You are seeing the reason now. Sterling is not okay for the team, Madueke is better. Palmer is better than Conor.

Won't make a single bit of difference. The players just aren't good enough. Gambled on players with barely any experience and it's blowing up in their faces.

I've seen enough in this first rounds to understand we are a lost cause. Biggest laughing stock in European football by a country mile.

And Raheem Sterling is the icing on the cake. He is simply a stupid footballer. Plain dumb. Minutes before the red card, if Sterling would have half a brain he would pass it to Jackson and we would be one nil up as we was not offside and that goal would have stood.

Everything is wrong and Pochettino is as clever as Sterling. His team selection is a complete joke. If your average fan can see that Thiago Silva is past it, Colwill is not a left back, Gallagher and Sterling are incredibly poor footballers and Enzo Fernandez is not a no. 10, but a holding midfielder, then what can this say about Pochettino? He is as clueless as our last two managers and.

Three matches in a row that we did not even score against Forrest, Bournemouth and Villa, two of which were at home. Both laughable and sad at the same time. We are a bigger laughing stock than Manchester United.

Everything is supposed to be great at the club and all set for the supposed project to kickstart, but the players look like they've met eachother 2 minutes before the kickoff everytime I watch Chelsea play.

Come off it, 6 games into the season after the disaster we had last season.  The results haven't been great, granted, but in what world is changing to a new coach going to help, and if we did then who?

Other than goals scored we are performing (statistically) in the top 6/7.

Our luck has been awful in terms of injuries and we have hit the woodwork and been offside more than any other team in the league.

We narrowly lost to villa who since Emry came in have been 3rd best in the league, and had Gusto not been sent of ridiculously would have likely got a result.

Show some patience.

you miss the point both.. im not saying every player will be here by the time it comes good , never does even if we were on fire some players are not wanted , some players ask to leave they are both givens ,. obviously ...and during the transition to where we are now to where we want to be ,of course there will be changes. but not all, as you said??? personally i hope its with poch. not cause im a superfan, but id like chelsea to keep a manager long enough to get to a point we turn it around.

we remind me of my daughter's hockey team when she was 12, they played almost a whole season without scoring. got to the point it was just a question of how many they'd lose by each week. and then one day they scored a goal - they were absolutely jubilant.

sadly they lost their next game 11 - 0

We were the better side before the red.

Don't agree with that call, but the ref was looking to dish out cards to us whenever possible.

Sterling, Jackson and Enzo each had one really excellent chance that they each blew, and that cost us. As did Pochettinos tactical changed after the sub.

I stopped watching after the red card and change. You need  mudryk as an outlet but he left on Sterling and Jackson on who were incompetent in front of goal.

I’m confident there are 3 worse teams than us in this league but if that’s all that I can cling onto then we are in trouble.

Our attack is the worst in the league at the moment in relative terms though IMO, even Forest scored 1 of their 2 chances when they played us.

We create enough chances to possibly be a top 4 contender but our decision making and conversion rate is relegation level.

We have to address this in January just to make sure we ain’t dragged into any sort of relegation battle.

Other than Mount and Hall I think our sales have been good actually, but buying only youngsters, and mostly from different leagues, and expecting them to all hit the ground running together and fire us into Europe this season was very naive from the board.

More than anything we need a goal and a bit of luck - unfortunately at the moment it's just not happening.

Too many new players who don't know each other or each other's game... and it's not like any of them are being asked to slot into an well oiled existing team structure... they're ALL new...

Think we're getting better, even with some of the weird choices Pooch is making but unless we can find the net soon people are going to run out of patience.

Like to see Chilwell and Palmer starting next time and Silva keeping the bench warm...

Silva wasn't arm waving today but he was slow and should have taken the yellow, like Chilwell did later, to prevent the attack that led to their goal.

First half Jackson MUST score when through with Martinez - Onside.

Enzo free hit in the box MUST at least be on target - Onside.

Jackson free header put just wide he MUST scored - Onside.

Sterling in at an angle 1 vs 1 MUST scored - Onside.

Villa had no clear opportunities before the red and we should at a minimum have had 3 goals bit no. As I said if Sterling does not show up we don't score and it was true because Jackson's finishing is abysmal and Sterling made it 5 out of 6 league games where he was rubbish.

Agree with you on all these points.

That Sterling 1-on-1 summed him up as a footballer. Either tap it to the side for a open goal for Jackson, or you know, just score, like most international attackers would when through on goal. But no. Every time we are through on goal, my heart rate doesn't even go up a single beat, because I know every time we're not scoring.

Of all those chances, only Jackson's (Mudryk's through ball) was a decent one. Others were half chances. Villa had bigger ones and should have easily been ahead at HT if not for Sanchez's wonder saves. Digne and Zaniolo's volleys are goals any other day.

Stop fooling yourself we were the better team before the red card. We were not.

Ironic.

Given just how highly unlikely it is that players as poor and untalented as Jackson, Madueke, Mudryk etc will ever develop into top 4 calibre players.

The odds really aren't in the clubs favour.

Buying a bunch of crap and struggling young attackers and thinking they have a decent chance of developing into top players is genuinely the most moronic and foolish transfer strategy I can recall any football club ever attempting it's so bad I just wish Arsenal or Spurs had attempted it because I wouldn't be able to stop laughing.

You keep banging on and on and on that we haven't brought in any top class young talent. They're all rubbish according to you. And yet I never read any posts from you that names the actual "top young talent" we should have signed. Follow up mate, give us the benefit of your inside knowledge.

This part made me laugh but I know exactly what you mean unfortunately.

I have more emotion and slightly more expectation if a team I don’t even support was through on goal against a team I hate like Liverpool or Arsenal.

Like you I genuinely don’t expect us to score at the moment no matter how clean through on goal our player is.

I watch other matches and am puzzled why other teams can score 2 or more goals in the same match, sometimes even in the same half, yet we make scoring a goal look like an art form that only the most elite players could possibly manage.
