Fulham v Chelsea (PL) Mon 2nd Oct 2023 20:00 GMT

Lot better HT score than we’ve seen for months. Caveat Fulham have been woeful today.
But based upon what we’ve seen today it’s a very likely three points 😊

Game has gone a bit scrappy, but the first 20 minutes was excellent from us. There's a noticeably change to the way we attack, there's a quick pass between the CM's and then it's played through to the attacking midfielder or the wingers. Cole Palmer's reading of the game has been excellent too, he see's a pass and he doesn't shy away from playing it. Can see him becoming a number 10 in the future.

This has been the most noticeable change resulting in us looking way more balanced. Most encouraging half from us. The first time in a long time where we look like like we have a plan.

I don't think it's a case of Fulham being bad, I think it's because we've been good and they don't know how to deal with it.  If we'd taken our chances it could well have been 4 or 5 by now.

I’m going to the doctors tomorrow as I just don’t feel right. It’s an odd sensation a bit like the enjoyment I get from nearly everything other than watching Chelsea play. Hopefully he can prescribe me some angst, frustration and anger pills in case this ever happens again.

This is really, really positive. We've been comfortably the better team, even after some early 'jitters' (ahem) from the forward line.

The midfield three are totally dominant and look to be developing a genuine understanding. With the run of fixtures we have ahead of us it is so very important that we get a functional three of Caicedo, Fernández and one of Ugochukwu and Gallagher working together.

Delighted for Mudryk and Broja too. It's arguably just as important given the upcoming opponents that we get some confidence into two players who are very capable on the break. It would be so easy for each of the two of them to play within themselves and question themselves given their respective issues. This is like mother's milk.

Keep it up lads, it's a pleasure to watch for the first time in ages.

Yeah exactly, if our new striker Broja had more time it could easily be nil v 5-6 !

8 year contract ... might not be enough time for Mudryk to register his first Chelsea goal ? Or even a shot on target LOL

You wicked man haha

They have been pretty sh*t to be fair, but I do think the way we have approached the game would have given them problems even if they were playing well.
