Maybe we should stop investing in young talent and just get another Kante then.

Also disagree with your last sentence, Not one player bought by this club was without merits when arriving. Can't think of anyone who's shown "absolutely nothing" for a full year now either. This is just wrong.

There are a copious amount of players that we've in hindsight should have given way more game time than we did.

We certainly shouldn't have wasted so much money on crap young players.

We've signed plenty of young deadwood that hadn't shown anything to suggest they were capable of playing at the highest level before we signed them and haven't shown anything to suggest they belong here since.

How Madueke and Mudryk ended up here I'll never know it's like they won a competition they're certainly not top talents.

Night and day compared to a genuinely talented young player like Palmer.

I'm really pissed off with the posts criticising Cole Palmer.  Ffs what is wrong with some of you ?

To be fair he didn’t have a good half. No one is immune to criticism but ad hominem insults to our own players is a definite no go

We spent 200m on our midfiled and it apparently we miss Gallagher so much.

Enzo and Caicedo look lost out there.

Gallagher wouldn't improve things, he would be another problem amongst the problems we already have. We need better than Gallagher and if this is Caicedo's standard, then we need better than him too. Lavia will take his spot easily if this continues.

Enzo not doing himself any favors moving at a snails pace.

Just zero intensity from the entire team which begs the question, why do we yet again look completely unprepared?

Assuming Poch doesn't trust one of the kids, I'd be genuinely tempted to bring on James to play next to Caicedo at the base of midfield. Bring on Badiashile too for Cucurella and go to the Pulis/Guardiola-style four centre-back setup which worked so "well" against Brighton.

An entertaining half between two properly inept teams.

We wasted a ton of money on experienced "top" players in the last few seasons too. Aubameyang, Lukaku, Koulibaly and you can extend that flop line a long way.

This squad is full of talent. I do agree with you in regards to the amounts spent. Should have thrown money at someone relatively experienced and PL proven like Rice. There is something like too many young and talented players.

People here would have turned down Kante on a free

Could we have Kante back on a free now? Just pretend he never left.

Jackson's big miss was on Sterling for me. The pass came too late and Onana had time to get right on on top of Jackson (good goalkeeping)

Not for me, I agree with Shearer and JFH, Jackson in that moment should be on his toes, ready to react and finish the move like shark that smells blood. There is no way he needed to take a touch there. Piss poor instinct.

He still chooses to always take 2 touches more with the ball so I can't put it on Sterling that should have been an easy tap-in.

Regardless of the results its getting increasingly clear for me that we are not improving.
Not only that, several players are getting visibly worse which is always a bad sign. Generally our defence and midfield is getting worse by the day and our attack is about as poor as it's always been.

Time to earn your wage Poch.

This exactly.

We all want this to be a project that the manager sees through but by December we should be going into matches prepared and fit enough to match intensity with similar levels of performance.  I'm not saying it's on Poch because there is a whole backroom set up, but christ what do we do in the week. The levels of intensity and technical ability are appalling.
