Chelsea v Burnley (PL) Sat 30th Mar 24 15:00 GMT

It’s been a typical half from Chelsea. Ceded control cheaply and attacked with verve. Weak at the  back. No bite in midfield countered with that promising approach work but as usual more toothless finishing. Somehow we’ve gone in 1 up against 10 men. Now for the game changing Poch team talk……..😂

Even if it some don't think it's a penalty, it makes up for the one Disasi didn't get when his goal was ruled out for handball.

I think what people don't understand is that the ref already set the precedent for such soft touches getting fouls earlier in the game. IMO precedent is more important than being inconsistent and changing the goal posts in the middle of the game.

Second yellow, after booking Cucurella at the other end of the pitch for a similar incident he pretty much has to show a second yellow there. Probably harsh but the ref set the precedent.

The refs usually avoid booking players after giving a pen if it's a regular foul in the box.

We'd be fuming if that was given against us.

Never a pen and never a red.

Of course I’d be fuming, but it’s clear obstruction I don’t know what else to tell you. Had that happen anywhere else on the pitch ref also gives it.

50/50 red though.

On the attack, we have been good but the finishing has been awful. Off the ball, I think we have been terrible. Defensively we are asleep, they win almost every header in the box and they finding it too easy to create chances.

If Pochettino has any brain, he will take Gallagher off and move Mudryk into his position. Gallagher has been really poor and picked up a stupid yellow card again.

Well, we know that we'll conceded within 5 minutes of HT, since they'll need time to shake off whatever nonsense this manager comes out with and get rid of the scent of lemons he probably has them rub into their shirts. SO we need another goal at least.

Gallagher needs to step it up. Only player right now that looks off it and it’s leading to needless fouls and giving the ball away.

He looks tired, not doing his normal mad running around bit.

It has to be a genuine attempt to play the ball. It wasn't.

Thats football eh, what shall we do, politely decline the penalty ffs.

We take what's given. No problem with that. It would look a bit more justified if we at least dominated the game and played well.
