Much like Paez he’s made a terrible terrible career choice joining us and should be looking for an my possible ‘out’ in his contract he may have.

Far too attack minded and positive both in and out of possession.

Have heard so many good things about this lad and obviously have high hopes for him.

Looking at the last couple of video clips, he looks okay but certainly no jaw-dropping "wow" moments. Let's hope he is managed well as I can see him struggling in the PL (if he ever gets a chance).

On another day could have got an assist or two. I remember on one occasion he played in a good pass to their striker, I think, only for him to mess it up.

I'm not sure I would have given him player of the match but he was okay overall. Made tons of mistakes but also tried to make something happen every time he got the ball. Also noticed he doesn't really work hard off the ball so that might be an issue if it's a common thing.

When people posted estavao highlight in the past, it is hard for me to judge because the one that stand out more is how bad Brazilian league defending standard is 😵‍💫😵‍💫

This is a better highlight. I want to see how defender physicality impact his game and it looked like the answer quite a bit. It is normal for 19 year old.

If Maresca can somehow find the means within himself to get out of the way and let the players play football, we could be in for a treat with Estevao, Palmer, Delap and a left winger on the same level next season.

The frustrating thing is that Maresca saw how good we were before he managed to straitjacket the team into his preferred ( and only) way of playing.

Hope im wrong but I think he has been overhyped. Think he will be an Oscar level player from what ive seen.

He's not been overhyped he's just 18. Vini and Rodrygo took years to settle in to European football.

Neymar moved over when he was 22.

Like everyone keeps saying, we just need to be patient.

It's why I would like Kudus as well. A versatile player that can allow us to phase to phase this lad in

He was sh*t before Potter was given the job though.

True, but in fairness Lopetegui was pretty horrendous as well. Out of all the players that I think we are genuinely interested in he is the only one with PL experience

He has a few nice moments, but he's not ready for Premier League football yet. I can see the majority of his first season at the club being spent on working on his physicality, because there is no way he is going to do anything in the Premier League in his current condition. I was watching him try and take on his fullback, and he just bounced off him. There's talent there, but it's going to take a few years before we see it.

I think he has got pace and a good first touch. But you are right, no way does he have the physicality for the PL. What we won't know is whether him bulking up and strengthening will then affect one of his major assets, his pace.

I know Brazil have a next Pele or Neymar as often as United have a next Best or Giggs, but this lad hasn’t managed a goal or assist and has been hauled in every game in this tournament.

So yes, he’s absolutely not ready, but is he ever going to be ready? Not holding my breath. Fully expect a less heralded Brazilian kid being the actual next best thing.

He has sky high expectations - and for all of us expecting the finished article with standout moments week in week out, I think we are in for some frustration....

....but... I have watched every Palmeiras game at the CWC, and one thing is for sure. He can cross a ball better than anyone else in our squad not called Reece James. not seen any of his corners fail to beat the first man - something we regularly struggle with....so for that alone, I am hopeful.
