Why Jp? The st that we signed was Delap.

Secondly, similar to neto signing two seasons, I am not convinced that Jp signing is purely football player deal

Cba to decipher your riddles.

JP is a striker. JP is playing striker.

I like to look at how we do points wise in half seasons, as a sign of "are we making progress?" and since BlueCo arrived it has gone as follows:

  • 28 (Tuchel/Potter)

  • 16 (Potter/Salter/Lampard) -12 vs previous half season

  • 25 (Pochettino) +9

  • 38 (Pochettino) +13

  • 35 (Maresca) -3

  • 34 (Maresca) -1

  • 29* (17 games) tba

Ergo we seem to be getting worse under Maresca rather than better, although you could probably equally pin that on the SDs propensity to muck about with the squad.

Certainly we are currently a long way off being an 80-90 point team/squad ... and the current rolling 38 game points total is 63 which is exactly where we were 18 months ago when they got rid of Pochettino (we peaked at 78 when the team were still playing Poch-ball in Maresca's first 16 games)

Love it, everyone is worse.

Think this is now going to be me go to evidence that posession based football is actually damaging the league and sport.

Anyone watch the sterile match last night between fulham and Forrest. Absolute garbage

Watched a bit and it was sleep inducing. Ditto the Arsenal v Everton game the other day too.

So many boring games in the PL. Have to say our game against Newcastle was one of the few exceptions. Newcastle always tend to play well at home and it was a dreadful watch for any CFC supporter first 45 but the second half was just how football should be. End to end - both teams trading blows and either team could have won it and you couldn't predict it.

PL needs more games like that otherwise folk will start switching off / stop attending.

Spot on . I reckon the Milan v Barca second leg tie last season was a game that dispensed with the obsession with possession and was a great watch. 1st leg wasn't bad either.

Everything is risk free ,unadventurous, and slow these days. . "Highlights" of games must struggle to put together anything at all !

Agreed. This was what made football fun and the best team wins. Now it's become a win first, entertain second game because people wanted to replicate 2008 Barca

I think it's "we must not lose" first, then entertain second.

You have Arteta fielding 6 CBs on the pitch and you have Maresca being obsessed with keeping the ball because he's scared sh*tless of what a little consequence of direct football brings.

I’m not sure that I follow that Table, have we been three seasons with Maresca?

Depends on your viewpoint. Because to rival football fans "Maresca Possession Ball" is probably wildly exhilarating. Imagine being a rival fan watching our back four and keeper having to play suicidal tikki-takka keep-ball across our own box at the stubborn behest of our Bald Fraud, regardless of the circumstances and the space available, with the often inevitable result, must be an absolute joy to behold.

One of the key with Maresca early run was team struggling to handle Maresca central overload plus all Maresca need to do in term team selection was

Lavia or enzo

2 out of Sancho/Madueke/Neto

And you can't be wrong because if one doesn't play well bring the 3rd guy.

Imagine if Maresca need to play Mudryk. Oops he did started him once and we could have easily lost 4-0 against wolves in the 1st half alone

There is no riddle. The st that we signed was Delap, saying Jp is a st is like saying Nkunku is a st.

But doesn't matter. Let just use

JP - 55

Woltemade - 65

If they flop, which one will be easier to move?

That's because nobody knew who was feeding him.

I've noticed that the club are putting out "extended highlights" match videos that are about 8 minutes long and typically include 1'30"of into and team news, and then another minute at the end as players shake hands etc. So even our own blue-tinted PR team are having difficulty with this LOL

Can't remember which match it was, but one I watched recently literally highlighted only one Chelsea move in the entire first half. "Boring" as a word to describe what we are being served up by Maresca seems woefully inadequate !

No, it's not. Joao Pedro has played the majority of his career as a striker. Nkunku has played CM, wing, all over the place.

You may feel Pedro is better as a number 10 but that's irrelevant, he is factually a striker and was bought to carry on playing as a striker.

In regards to JP and Woltermade, the one that will be easier to move is the Woltermade as he's only on £108K and his contract is only 5 years instead of the 7/8 we gave to Pedro.

Neither would be easy to move, both would be overpriced flops. Having said that, Woltemade would be easier as he is on less salary.

It's my birthday tonorrow. Usually there is a Chelsea game on. This year my daughter is insisting we watch Stranger Things.

So at least I get to spend time wirh Vecna - another bald, fraud c**t

I have no idea what Stranger Things is about, but if Fraudo II is in it, it is probably a good reason to look into giving children, grown up or not, up for adoption. It's just a suggestion @Liam

Boxing Day with hardly any football, what is the world coming to 😱

Sorry Val I'm not having Bixing Day. We call it St. Stephen's Day here in the civilised world (although we pronounce it Stephenses Day)
