And that is a massive difference that many people are ignoring SF. Maresca hasn't had anything like the injury list Potter and Poch had to contend with.

If he lost just Palmer, I think he would be in huge trouble

I do agree with your overall point, but I would note that:

1) The management/coaching staff have a great deal of influence over the muscle injury rate in their squad. (Obviously there is no accounting for contact injuries/random chance).

2) I think any manager, if given this squad, would be in huge trouble without Palmer.

Maresca currently getting less out of this squad than Pochettino managed, despite having better wingers at his disposal, and a much improved situation in general with player availability

We've grinded out games better with Maresca, but I don't see a massive improvement in the team like others keep going on about.

The defence is still sh*t.

Poch barely had a starting 11 for the majority of the season and had to find new ways of playing to accommodate, not saying he was perfect by any stretch but he was managing under some sh*tty circumstances.

Maresca has had more availability and far more depth to choose from. I've gave the manager credit where it's due, but I'm still far from sold with him, we'll be in midtable by the end of Jan at this rate.

Every pass Gusto makes is either not completed or it is passed backwards.  Absolutely no need for him to pass that ball back to the keeper

Closest CB to him would have been pressed if he passed to him. No option forward. It was either keeper or try to find the other CB which is a riskier pass.

At least Josh has been solid

I’m sure he’ll somehow get punished and dropped for the next one, meanwhile the usual offenders get off Scott free.

Is that true though?

No idea why Poch gets a lot of blame for it when we've had injury problems for years now.

What a sh*t run of games and what a stupid way to lose that many easy points. Fulham and Palace we lost five points from a winning position very late in the game, Ipswich beat us in a match they could not string four passes together. Bet Palace can't believe their luck today how they did not concede at least four is beyond any imagination, yet the match ended in a draw. f**king frustrating.

How quickly football brings you back down to earth. Out inability to kill off games, and/or manage them is shocking

Mistakes led to goals against Fulham, Ipswich and Palace - that’s just the last 3 games.  Look at Spurs, Leicester games also. The list could go on.

Honestly no better than Pochettino. Bizarre decision to switch Palmer and Enzo 2nd half, Palmer always less effective on the left.

Jackson is awful. 3 chances squandered and had a couple of opportunities to put a team mate in, but plays the most lazy pass.

Back to how we were last season, top 6 side at best.

Achaempong did well, impressive debut.
