I don't really understand this backing the manager stuff. How does my disappointment directly affect him.?

It not great for a Spurs fan to goad us about Thursday night football is it.?

But you are right my loyalty to Blue Co.isnt as strong as it was prior to their involvement.

Back the team, hope that he does a good job.

Maybe he's the right group for this group of players. This helps us have a good season or two and we challenge for major honours.

Who cares what Tottenham fans are saying, they got the type of manager a lot on here would have liked us to get, the trendy guy at a well run premier league club, and he's doing sh*t.

It's a classic move from Blue Co. Shut the customers up give them a new manager ( one of our operatives 😉 ).

They can't fail to get on board with us ( Blue Co.) They might even mistake us for Chelsea Football Club.😂

Up the Chels!

As far as I am concerned, there is nothing about this worth backing. Rosenior is not a Chelsea manager head coach for footballing reasons, he is Chelsea head coach to continue being their yes man.

We all know the long or short term outcome of this appointment - a new Clearfake Manager # 7. Lets hope they have figured out the EPL by then and appoint an elite coach 🤣

Sure, but that goes without saying.

We are here doing what we usually do... speculate. 😄

Even if you accept the idea—which I never did—that a top manager could turn this squad into silverware contenders, that now looks even less likely. This is a manager (really, a coach) who will have to grow alongside a very young squad, which inevitably means more time.

Goes without saying? But you're hoping he will be sacked in the Summer?

I'm hoping he does a better job than Maresca, that he's the perfect personality to gel with this team, improves players, puts them in their right positions, gets us into the latter stages of the CL, surprises Arsenal and gets us to the League Cup final - maybe even wins it.

And yes I do accept that a top manager could turn this squad into silverware contenders, mainly because this squad have two bits of silverwear at the moment 🙄

This.

Everyone knows that this isn't going to work, including the board and Rosenior himself. He knows he can't do a good job, but he doesn't care. He'll collect a nice paycheck and move on. Don't blame him of course, no one would turn this opportunity down.

Everyone is just going through the motions until the enviable happens. Us fans are allowed to do the same.

I think it's naive to think that success under Rosenior would be good on pitch performances. Blue Co.s focus is player/ asset development. Any success on the pitch is purely a by-product/ a nice to have in Blue co.s model.

Roseniors key objectives are

  • Do as he is told

  • Develop the assets.

And if or when he falls foul of point 1 he will be replaced

Good luck mate.

I think in order to get top 4, he’s going to have to hit the ground running. A slow start will leave us with too much to do.

Only wanted for the money mind you.

Sad thing is plenty of Chelsea fans look at it for the same. We need the money. why? So they can buy another Gittens?

I don't care if we make top 4/5 or not as is just a tool in their player market trade schemes, not to try and win it.

Watched his first interview when he joined Strasbourg. He said his main focus is to learn French and to start conducting interviews in French. 18 months later he doesn't speak a word of French. I feel like this is going to be a theme of his.

And he will need French so he can shout 'f**k sake Badiashille'...err in French

Generalizing a bit here? 😉
I did not write that, nor do I wish it.

I suspect we are talking about PL and CL when discussing silverware, otherwise Maresca would be considered a success here.

"perfect personality to gel with this team, improves players, puts them in their right positions"
I strongly disagree with that; it's overly simplistic and goes heavily into personal preferences not only about individual players, but also playing style--there are many ways to play and win. Football today is very tactical and intense, where rarely the starting XI see the whole 90min out.
My prediction: this manager won't put players in their right positions because there is no such a thing.

Also, Arsenal has better players in almost every position and much better (as in ready) options coming off the bench/rotation. IMO realistically, we are years away (even with the right manager) to challenge them and I do doubt Rosenior is the "right" manager.

A statement from Strasbourg’s supporters federation reads: “The transfer of Liam Rosenior marks another humiliating step in Racing's subservience to Chelsea. For two-and-a-half years, along with others, we have been try.ing to raise the alarm about this

“The problem goes far beyond the mid-season sporting impact and the ambitions of a young coach. It is structural; the future of French club football is at stake.

Just as likely is that he will deploy 3-2-4-1

I've wondered about 3-2-4-1 and I think it probably works for most of our key players apart from perhaps (Gusto and) Cucurella.

James - CB - CB

Santos - Caicedo

Estevao - Palmer - Fernandez - LW

This at least sounds decent :

"There is a real hunger to win, and I will give everything, every single day, to help this team compete and win at the very highest level to make everyone connected and proud to be a part of Chelsea Football Club.

I want our fans to be proud of who we are and what we represent in every single game that we play. They are the soul of this enormous, historic and huge football club."

Mind you, I thought Starmer's first speech as our PM was decent too LOL (no I didn't vote for him 😎 )

Pesonally I was disappointed. He didn't say "for sure" or "we have to be careful and manage the minutes" or "we play again in 24 hours"

I think this junior could be gone by the summer. I certainly hope so.

I'm already being hounded by rival supporters mocking us. Spurs fans mocking us, oh the shame.

As Danny dyer would say

" Are you having a bubble"

You hope so? Why would you wish for failure? We have to pray he surprises us all
