June 3, 20197 yr Came in to be a squad player ended up a winner and Captain. Not bad for someone I barely had any hopes on when he first signed for us. Thanks for all your services Gary Cahill. All the best for the future!
June 3, 20197 yr Ended up being a good signing for the club with what he cost. Won a lot of what he won through who he was fortunate enough to play alongside imo. Be remembered on the same level as Ferreira for me. Never really a stand out player but did a steady job when needed.
June 3, 20197 yr Been a good servant for us, feel like he was surrounded by top players at times which made him win more than he would have anywhere else. But none the less he played his part in many of our victories and I feel he's leaving at the right time, and on a high.
August 5, 20196 yr Good on him. Will go down as a Legend for us just for what he's won with us. Just the sort of player Palace need as well.
August 5, 20196 yr Fair play to him. Came from Bolton who were relegated and won the lot with us. Shame that Sarri gave him such a cold shoulder, but Cahill was always around the team and seemingly upbeat. Could have done without the comments in the program on the final home game of the season, but a great servant to the club and deserves all our thanks

August 5, 20196 yr More than a decent player for us. Scored many important goals as well. wish him all the best.
August 5, 20196 yr Love the bloke. Brave as a lion. Would throw himself in front of a bus to stop a shot on goal. Defensively very aware of what was happening around him. And a very tidy finisher in the box too. Good luck Gazza you will always be welcome at the Bridge.
August 6, 20196 yr Good luck Gazza. Brilliant to see he remains in London in top tier. Will be very important to Palace.
August 6, 20196 yr One of the best value signings we have ever made, been an excellent pro for us over the years, good luck at the stripey nigels.
August 6, 20196 yr Look at this man's trophy haul in 6 and a half seasons (?) with Chelsea. He played a big part in those and was captain as well. Not bad for a guy bought as a cheap back-up option in the mid season transfer window. (6 and a half seasons...) 2 Premier Leagues 2 F A Cups 1 League Cup 2 Uefa Cups 1 Champions' League And 3 Times Selected in the Players Team of the Year. (Let's not forget his goalscoring for defender as well.) Edited August 6, 20196 yr by GhostOfDembaBa
August 6, 20196 yr Good luck Gary Under-rated palyer. If he was on form for the last worldcup I firmly beleive that England would have been in the final, for a start he would not let old man Mandzukic to skip past him int he final minutes, he would have taken one for the team if he had to. As some of you may remember I have some personal expereince of what a great bloke he is !
August 6, 20196 yr Underrated but totally out of his depth for the football we try to play. Palace probably plays much of their football without the ball.
August 6, 20196 yr Escaped eventually relegated Bolton in January to start and win the Champions League final in the same season. Absolute legend!

No, I think he comes off very salty about the situation last year, toeing the line of being unprofessional. It's the manager's job to put the team on the pitch that gives us the best chance to win while playing the way the manger envisions. Cahill didn't fit the type. He could have left for Fulham in January, why didn't he?
August 21, 20196 yr He could come out and call us all a bunch of c**ts if he likes, he won the Champions League with one leg and a Luiz

He could have left for Fulham in January, why didn't he? In short, he wanted game time but wasn't prepared to take a wage cut to get it, which is fair enough but then you can't whine when you reap what you sow. I mean surely he was smart enough to realize Rudiger, AC and Luiz were going to be ahead of him in such a system like Sarri's? (his comments on Lampard are laughable, he would have seen even less time if Lampard came in as he almost surely would have prioritized Ampadu getting the EL/LC minutes). He should be thankful we changed style of play so late on in his time here, because had we gone down this road a few years earlier he would have been out on his ear during his peak. November 8, 20196 yr I hope Gary gets a warm welcome from the supporters on his return to Stamford Bridge tomorrow before we go into battle against Palace. https://www.football.london/crystal-palace-fc/players/gary-cahill-chelsea-crystal-palace-17221870
