He's always said in interviews he's just focused on enjoying his football and don't care much about statistics in interviews. So i think its clear he doesn't have that Ronaldo-attutide that could have taken him to the next level. Now he's "just" a very, very good footballer but i very much doubt he's going to reach that best in the world level where his talent could have taken him.
January 22, 20179 yr I think it was the right descision by Conte to take him of when he did, not sure if it was to make a point about his performance, or he got a knock though.
January 22, 20179 yr Still Hazard is a good player, but have greater talent then this. I also think its mental and the hard work is missing with him, unlike Ronaldo for example. And same as i said about Oscar, he has done zero progress since he came to us. He and Oscar come at very young age and they show great stuff early, but they didn`t build on that, they didn`t improve, and you will expect such young players with such talent to become really great player, unfortunately that didn`t happen. Antonio Conte need to show him, he has to fight for his place in the team and maybe more individual work with him.
January 22, 20179 yr He's just far too inconsistent to be considered a one of the best for me, today he had next to no impact at home to Hull...

January 22, 20179 yr It's also an issue that it seems he's our main source of creativity -- and sometimes our only available option for making things happen. We should probably aim to sign someone like Sanchez or Griezmann in the summer to take the chance creation burden off of him.
January 22, 20179 yr ^^Moses and Alonso have been pretty creative these past couple games...Arsenal won't sell us Alexis but I'd love to have a Greizmann or Reus or some other star midfielder thats available
January 23, 20179 yr I thought he wasn't that bad, especially on a day when very few players played well. The problem was constantly got back deep in our half to retrieve the ball, then try to beat 3-4 only to get into their half, because our midfielders/defenders just couldn't pass the ball out to good areas. Pedro is not good at carrying the ball out of own zone either, he's more suited at the other end of the field getting on those through balls. That's our weakness, when pressed we couldn't pass the ball out, so it's either aimless long ball to Costa, or Hazard had to run back so deep to pick up the ball. I expect we will face the same problem next week if Liverpool press us well.
January 23, 20179 yr Looks tired, certainly off form...but he'll be back...surprised at the level of criticism, almost angry...so he isn't Messi or Ronaldo? Well fcuk me, two of the greatest players that have ever played the game is a tough comparison for 99.9% of players to live up to...let's just appreciate the level he has got too, which is still very high in my opinion. Has been, and will still be, key in title race

January 23, 20179 yr His dip in form could not possibly have come on a worse time. The next 2 games may very well decide the title.
January 23, 20179 yr We could lose both and still remain top. We have already lost to both and sit 8 points clear. It doesn't decide anything

January 23, 20179 yr @STATS said it in another thread, yesterday was a good example of how much we need him. It was one of his worst games of the season and not coincidentally we were quite average overall. We won, it's all that matters a day later, but I wonder how many points it would cost in the remaining games should Eden not be able overcome this dip in form. I hope it's really just that and nothing serious. What gives me hope is that it might be a case of so called recency bias because his only two poor games since that loss against Arenal were against Spurs and Hull. I think it is too early to be harsh with him so let's see how he will do against Liverpool and Arsenal, where he just might be the one to win us the game. Needless to say, he is still, quite clearly, our best player. Let's show him our support :) Edited January 23, 20179 yr by PythonLu

He's just lazy and I think for someone who happens to be the highest paid player at the club, needs to do more for the team.
January 23, 20179 yr For f**ks sake. As if Messi and Ronaldo never have quiet games. Ronaldo is also the vainest and most irritating c**t in world football, give me Hazard any day of the week.
