It isn't that I'd mind if he left, I just don't think the upcoming generation are in the same league. If Pulisic is anything to go by for me Sancho, Chiesa and Under are vastly overrated and we already have CHO and Mount waiting in the wings (I haven't seen Chukwueze so can't comment). Zaha is the only player I've seen who could come close to filling Willian's boots.

You dont think sancho could fill willian's boots? 

Willian has been pretty decent this season, other than that horror show of a cameo against leicester. 

His end product is always hit and miss, but his work ethic has been on point. 

I think there are loads of options to replace Willian and pedro. Sancho, Bergjwin, Neres, Thauvin, etc. Then there are also players like Dybala, Coutinho, and Isco, that may not be like for like replacements, but they are experienced high end atracking options to come in and compliment the youth.

For me Sancho is an outside right that can't play anywhere else on the pitch. He's too similar to Pulisic and the last thing we need is to become a team that can't adapt to it's environment. If he were to join us and succeed I think that would say more about the overall deterioration of the league. I honestly don't rate any of the potential replacements for Pedro/Willian, personally I think we'd just be better off sticking with CHO/Mount and wait for the real talent to emerge.

That's a really bizarre thing to say. Why on earth would that matter if he turned us into contenders once again?

There's no guarantee he would make us contenders again even if he played a blinder every week.

I just don't think Sancho is anything special - our future is bright enough with CHO and Mount waiting in the wings. Personally I'd have McNeil over Sancho any day of the week and just play CHO on the right flank.

Well you're entitled to your opinion. However that you'd give Willian a new contract and don't rate Sancho is staggering to me.

There's a reason why Juventus and Barca want Willian even though he's what 31 now? Top clubs know talent when they see it - that's why they stay at the top.

That's downright awful justification. Barca also spent 130m+ on Coutinho.

Thing is Mount isn’t a winger and long term for me he shouldn’t be out on the flanks. As for Sancho 16goals  and 22 assists in 52 league games is what you dream of wingers producing. As things stand he is the next big star in world football.

Willian and Pedro have something in common, they don't score simple goals. 

He scores the most hopeful goals in the team, my fave is still the one against Everton in 2015

Juventus signed Cuadrado from us and he's still in their squad. Arguably one of the worst players in a Chelsea shirt.

Atletico, another huge team, signed Morata from us for big money. Another player that was sh*te for us.

Just because big teams are interested, doesn't mean they're good for us.

I didn't believe that shot would go in when he struck it, but he definitely meant to do it, and it was pretty smart shot. He's having one of those good runs like he does every season, hopefully he can continue and get us the 3 points before another International break.
