Moses literally showing the urgency & directness he's lacked all season for us. What a p**s taker.

Mikel used to do the same, turn into a world class midfielder for Nigeria then turn into utter gash when he came back here.

Damn Nigerians!

I thought he was poor tbh. bar that turn that put Kane on his arse.

The damn manager sets the tone.lol

They feel they have better options for those moves than Moses and Mikel in other players and constrain the Nigerians depending on others to deliver the goods.

In Nigeria, they are their biggest names so used accordingly to create for and pivot the team.

Also can't really say enough of his professionalism at Chelsea. An all out attacking midfielder converted to a DM by Mourinho but just got on with it and carried out instructions always.

Always a feature of every Chelsea manager's team and the only manager that didn't give him a chance was Conte due to his own stubbornness and desire to control the players in every way he could.

Basically told him he didn't want him to go for Olympics at start of Conte's first season because his place would be at risk. Of course Mikel is Captain and Nigeria depends on him so he went and came back afterwards but never even made match day benches, pretty much what we see with Luiz and any other players that dare cross he whom must not be crossed.

Moses will probably go back playing for Nigeria at some point.

He will struggle this season. I feel sorry for him. He is not considered as a right back by Sarri and we have good wingers.

Moses has retired from international football at the age of 27 to focus on his club career apparently. Weird.

Maybe he wasn’t enjoying the experience. Rumour was that Mikel had previously paid flights, accommodation etc before because the Nigerian FA is so badly organised.

Moses played in a World Cup, maybe that was the extent of his international ambitions, now he’s done that he can’t be bothered with it anymore.

I’m guessing he didn’t want to disappear off to the ACN for 2 months in a season where his club future will be determined by whether or not he can convince Sarri he can fit into his system. If he was sold, you’d have to assume it wouldn’t be to a title challenging team, so it’s probably quite important to him to prove his worth.

They moved it to off season now.

By the time he comes back the door will be closed to him. He will struggle to get back into the national team.

He won the African Cup of Nations though, cant take that away from him. His days at Chelsea though are numbered.

I'm not sure though agree it is unlikely he will get  much game time unless there is an injury to Willian or maybe Azpi.

He’s looked completely out of sorts in the last couple of outings from the bench.

Makes you wonder what Hudson-Odoi would need to do to get a chance because I refuse to believe he’d perform any worse in the final third.

You’re right. We’ve looked so much worse when he’s come on, especially on Saturday as today we were pants overall. For me the change would have been CHO for William, but CHO didn’t make the bench.

Rumoured to be eyeing the exit come January due to limited playing time.

In truth, he was always likely to be a casualty of Sarri switching to a back four.

He was a bit of a surprise package by establishing himself as a competent player as a wing back. But with Azpi returned to the right back position and Moses now back to being played as a winger he just offer enough to be getting any game time and the role he's currently fulfilling, in my opinion, would be better served to giving the minutes to Hudson-Odoi who is apparently unsure of signing a new contract because he wants to be playing semi-regularly in the first team.

I'm sure they'll be plenty of interest in Moses if he does leave and I can't imagine that we'd be demanding a particularly high transfer fee for him either.

Sad to hear considering his service over the past couple of years, but probably inevitable if he wants more playing time.

Hudson-Odoi can take over the traditional Moses role of looking really good in pre-season and inevitably never getting a game.

Still a mystery to me why Sarri is not giving him a chance on the right-back wing. Azpilicueta isn't delivering a jack in offense and he's been pretty shaky in defense. His habits as a player spent years in the back 3 drag him to Rudiger and Luiz and the wing is always wide open.  Ivanovic suffered exactly the same thing.

And Moses wasn't bad defensively at all. His offensive contribution  will be miles ahead of Dave's.

I don't know, very strange situation, Sarri hasn't given Zappacosta a chance, but also never considered Moses as a backup to Azpilicueta. Also his captaincy is really pissing me off in the presence of Luiz, Rudiger, Pedro and even Hazard.
