You've got to give it to Mikel, at least he loves the club.

Fair play to him, I truly hope we don't offer him a new deal though.

Then all the "we don't treat our legends with respect" clowns will pipe up.  

I always thought he was a passenger in the teams success but lately have come to enjoy his dedication to the role, happy to play second fiddle, happy to come on late.  There is no way he lived up to his hype, but he's played his role which is all you can ask.

Mikel is a pro. Probably a great example to young players at the club. Never lived up to the hype as said but integral part of the most succesful time in Chelsea history.

Fair play to him, nice words. I dont think he's under any illusions, Chelsea is the biggest gig he will ever get and thats probably one of the main reasons he's so thankful.

At the moment i'd be more than happy for him to be offered an extension. He's more than happy sitting on the bench most of the time and he's currently better than Matic.

I don't like that about him though. Sitting on the bench for the majority of your career doesn't show much ambition, and this may annoy some people but lack of ambition tends to show in the majority of his performances. I agree that he is currently better than Matic though, but If Matic suddenly snaps out of this rut he is in then Mikel will never get a game.

To be fair he couldn't decide which English club he was signing for. 

 

Being unsure on the spelling of his own name isn't too much of a stretch I suppose.
