Yep 30 Mill Euros, if true, is about 25 GBP.  With that, we could buy out Reus' contract and still bank 5 million.  Or we take it and bring a young lad into the team for the second half (although I doubt that'd happen.  In fact, for that to happen, I think we'd need to sell Schurrle and Salah, sign Reus and then bring in a young lad.)

I've said it all along, I think we will sign Reus.

Reus contract clause does not come into play until the summer. If we wanted him now we'd have to pay over that clause and convince Dortmund that the extra amount we pay is worth more than their chances of survival. Reus won't come in January, way to much of a risk for Dortmund.

There's just no one available this month. It will be a huge surprise if our squad changes at all.

Unless we bring someone in it would leave the squad short.

Considering we are in the title race I don't think recalling Moses or Thogan Hazard would be enough. I don't know who is available but if there is a decent offer on the table for Schurrle then it's a good opportunity to look at strengthening the right wing.

Normally I would agree, but we have Remy who can also play there, and currently I would play him over both schurle and salah, so this will be a chance to get top value for him, one we probably not get again.

Well Moses is having a good season. Neither he nor Thorgan can be worse than Schurrle as a backup AM.

If there are no Jan options then I'd like to see Cesc moved forward more, Oscar on the right occasionally, and perhaps a decent midfielder bought to partner Matic.

 

Fabregas is the player that was bought in to partner Matic. I would actually prefer Fabregas to stay where he is. It's his favourite and best position, his assists prove that.

Never wanted Schurlle in the first place. Didn't know about him and just didn't have that look about him which made me think "excellent player".

But I've been wrong about Cech and a few others that turned out to be class.

I think he'll still be here come the end of the season but is now playing for his Chelsea future.

I think it's a confidence issue right now. I hope we hold on to him because I believe it will pay dividends in the future.

Not a massive fan of his anymore, hasn't improved at all and is just way too inconsistent. We need to sign a RW urgently.

I like Walcott, think he is an excellent player, no way Arsenal would sell to us though and he's injury record is pretty questionable.

Every Arsenal player's injury record is terrible though. Put them in a club that knows what they are doing and they won't be injured anywhere near as often.

I think that's quite over the top. He has never exuded class as far as I'm concerned and as I always say, international football is the worst platform to judge the quality of top level player. The quality of football at international level is way below what you'd find in the top European leagues.

In form, he is a good sub to have. But we need someone pushing Oscar and Willian in particular.

Don't make me laugh. We don't play our youngsters, we will just sign some more established players. 

I hope he stays, at least to the end of the season, it's unnecessary disruption to replace him now. He hasn't complained in the media, has he?

 

No chance we will be playing a youngster, Ivanoic will move to right wing before a youngster is taking field.

I think he's playing for his Chelsea future now. For what it's worth I can't see him being sold in January so hopefully he has time to redeem himself.

 

I understand that's he been battling and now recovering from an illness that knocked him about earlier in the season but he hasn't done much lately and Jose seems to have doubts about him at the moment. He had a chance to impose himself in the side but he hasn't taken it yet.

 

Personally I have a feeling he'll be sold in the summer and we will do everything in our power to get Marco Reus.

Its been reported that he's out of the team to build up some strength and size, I dont think we'll be seeing much of him for a month or two!

Has there been any explanation as to where he was on Sat?
