So glad he scored his first Chelsea goal. I think that may give him some great confidence in the future. On his debut, he missed that chance and I was gutted for him, but today I just felt confident (maybe being 5-0 up eased the nerves slightly) that when he was one on one it was 100% his time to score. I really hope we get to see more of him in the future.

Very fast, looked like a clear offside before I saw the replay and his acceleration. :) I like the fact that he signaled and pointed where he wanted the ball played as well.

Played very well and is still adapting to the EPL which makes the performance even more satisfying.

Looks an astute piece of business so far and he can only improve at 21

It was supposed to take him 6 months to settle in!

I enjoyed when he made that messi-esque run and wanted a penalty when he was barged over.

thought he looked very nervous to begin with, but definitely grew into the game. had a good game, plenty of promise for the future. could do with working on his right foot though, may become too predictable if he has to keep cutting onto his left

At times his touch is out of this world, a few today and especially the one to take down his goal vs arsenal, a few touches not so great but was his forst staft. He looks like he can bring something a little different to our attack, which I definitely think we need.

his touch to bring it down against arsenal is so out of this world, that it doesnt even exist

Wrong time then, there was one point where he brought it down against arsenal though

If he had got his final touch of the ball right when he ran through Stoke's defense he was on for scoring a wonder goal. His pace is brilliant and he seems to know how to use to effect, unlike people like Aaron Lennon.

I hope he gets it right. I've always hated players who have a massive upperhand in terms of pace but have little end product to show for. Lennon is a perfect example. I'd rather have a totally clumsy slow player who always ends up scoring. But Salah is a tactical weapon and we should use him as one.

We need his pace, he is half a yard quicker than Shurrle but quite where that will leave Oscar in the future is anyone's guess because there is no doubt Willian deserves a place in our 11. Hazard Willian and Salah would be devastating behind Costa. With Matic a shoe in it means Oscar would be converted to a deeper role or being faced to warm the bench and of course Ramires is also part on the conundrum.

I like your thinking regarding Oscar, but I think that Jose is set on him as the number 10. Overall, I think that is the best fit for Oscar.

I'd really like to see Willian given a chance as the number 10 more often. Yesterday he was given a rare chance to play in the middle of the 3 and excelled. When he tore us apart for Shakhtar he did so as the number 10 as well. For whatever reason he seems to be a greater threat through the middle.

Agree with playing Willian in the middle, that's where he did the damage for Shakhtar.

I think Oscar has been feeling the effects of all those games. He has mentioned needing a lot of massages in an interview somewhere, to carry his body over the finishing line.

I was always a Mata over Oscar advocate and felt he was being overrated even during his good period, but the one thing you couldn't argue with was his pressing and tenacity in winning possession. That's been missing for a while now, but he needs a good rest, then everyone will be raving about him again.

With Salah, he definitely looks like he has the talent, and I was impressed by his link up play, but he was also a little erratic at times, and I don't want fans getting frustrated and turning on the guy at the first bad game.

Along with Willian, he had an excellent game. Matic and Azpi not fat off.
