Welcome Loic Remy

Goodbye Loic Remy.

No thats harsh and he hasn't had that many chances this season but he has completely wasted his opportunities when given a go. So i am not very comfortable with him being our nr 2 striker.

Maybe Pato could actually do a better job. He seems quite fast, and Remy looked so slow and clumsy with the ball,.

I think this could be his last week with the club.  Windows ends on the 2nd. Would not shock me one bit to see Pato arrive and Remy loaned/sold to Villa or Palace.  Even Newcastle

He needs to play for a team where he is the main striker, then he can find some form.  Wont ever happen here, i think he probably wants out too in all fairness

People are being a bit harsh on the guy. He has been injured and barely get's more than a few minutes when he is fit, how can you expect the guy to be sharp ? It's not like Hazard did any better when he came on today.

Sorry Scott, but Remy is far too casual .....he's got a lot of skill but did not show any desire to get out of 1st gear. He is obviously feeling sorry for himself, cos he didn't get much of a chance at Chelsea to show what he can do. But need players who give their all for us ....not sulking kids like Remy !

like thibo he has a lot of rustiness to shake off after not playing for some time, especially him being a striker will need some minutes to recover that killer instinct that he had, don't forget last season how extremely clinical he can be when he's confident

A bit harsh is an understatement

Should have bought Austin.

Yup. He needs a move away from us does Remy, but I do not think Guus will let him go. Unless he is happy with the false 9 options we have, cause we probably wont see the man of glass play again for us.

People seem to be ignoring the fact that both passes to him by hazard were pants, they were both behind him, you should be playing it in to your strikers path.

I said the same, both were rubbish passes that needed a touch, take a touch the defenders there. Hazard looked like he wasn't interested when he came on.

What about Costa sulking all year when Mourinho was there? Remy has never had a chance and has never been fully fit. He will go elsewhere get fit and score goals.

Loic Remy could leave Chelsea before next week’s deadline, according to Sky sources.

The striker has become frustrated at a lack of first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge, making just 16 appearances this season.

He has been linked with Crystal Palace, Newcastle, and Leicester, although we understand that Leicester are not interested in taking him on loan at the moment.

think he'll fit well in leicester's system, idk why they are not interested okazaki's an awful finisher and remy will be a definite upgrade

I don't think Rémy really has the stamina or aggression to play for Leicester. I think he's a really good player with a great amount of natural talent, but Leicester would do well to look elsewhere.

I also think you severely underrate Okazaki! Very intelligent and unselfish player with great technical ability and who always works extremely hard on and off the ball, which I certainly did not expect upon first seeing him in the Premier League.

Leicester would suit him perfectly, a massive upgrade on Ulloa and he would give Vardy some competition.

I'm wouldn't be surprised if he wants to leave us, he doesn't get any game time. With the way we treat our squad players it won't be any different next season. We'll buy a few new strikers, they won't play, they'll want to leave, then we will be looking for another new striker.

Ulloa is a decent player too although oddly for a player with his frame he isn't a particularly effective lone striker. However, he complements Vardy very well and actually gives Kasper Schmeichel (whose distribution is pretty awful) something to aim at as he is very good in the air.

He is a decent goalscorer, but has gone a bit off-form this season as he hasn't had many games this season. This is due to Claudio tending to prefer the Vardy-Okazaki partnership, or sometimes playing more cautiously (e.g. playing a three-man midfield by adding King or Inler to the starting XI and playing Vardy up top alone, or putting Mahrez into the middle and playing Schlupp on the left).

Ulloa and Rémy are incredibly different players (although would probably make a good two-man striker partnership) but I will repeat that I don't think Rémy would particularly suit Leicester, nor would he either dislodge Vardy from the first XI on current form or make a particularly effective partner for him. I'm not entirely sure Rémy would be guaranteed starts even if he did go there.

If he is really that desperate for playing time, there are other clubs who are more desperately looking for strikers - Swansea, Palace, or Newcastle seem pretty keen. I also don't think it would be a good idea at all for us to let go of him when our only current alternatives are an injury-prone Costa and a Falcao who hasn't been seen for months. I do rate Bamford and Pato (assuming that is actually happening) had an immense amount of natural talent the last time I saw him, but it would be an enormous risk to run the possibility of relying on two completely unproven players for the rest of the season.
